Dante -
Lady (M16)

|
| |
|
|
Preferred
style: Quicksilver
-
The
battle typically starts with her swinging
away using her rocket launcher. As she
does this she throws knives at you, so stay far enough to avoid.
-
Shooting
does not hurt her much, so hit her
with your melee weapons when you can. I
recommend Beowulf's Killer Bee
and Rebellion's Stinger. She
runs around a lot and is good at it, so
you’d want to chase her down quick.
-
Attack
her for a bit when she prepares to swing
away (I recommend spamming Beowulf's 3 hit combo), then jump away to avoid the knives
and mine she throws at you.
-
Typically
after she swings away, she’ll appear
on top of a bookshelf throwing mines all over. Stay away from the mines and keep
shooting her, or if you'd like, attack
her when she's busy at it, then jump away
before the mines blow up.
-
She
swings away a lot so you’d have
to relocate her often. Sometimes, Lady walks around trying
to shoot you. If you shoot her back, her
bullets will be deflected so don't worry about getting hit. Lady also sometimes
stops to reload her gun, so attack.
-
When
she gets hit, she typically flips over
and throws knives at you in 2 separate
sets, so jump away from both. After you land, try
continuing to attack her. She’s likely to run away so chase her until she
swings away, then repeat step 3. If you're on Quicksilver, activate Time Lag to slow her down. This should give you enough time to catch up with her and attack.
-
Once
in a while, Lady also fires her bazooka and
missiles. Her bazooka is easy to avoid
– just double jump over it from
a distance.
-
As
for her missiles, you can hide in the
center of the library and kick jump off
a wall to avoid them when you sense them
close. They will hit the wall instead.
A better way would be to counter her before/after
she fires her missiles. Even though the
missiles seem to follow you, they don't
follow and hit you right away, so it's
safe to counter her during that time (try getting her from the back).
Killer Bee is highly recommended. Once
countered, her missiles will disappear
and chances are she’ll repeat step
6 so remember to jump away to avoid her knives.

[Dante
Must Die mode bug]
| |
|
There's this little "bug" against Lady
in DMD mode that I discovered a long time
ago (not sure if it applies to the other
modes).
However, this "bug" does not work
immediately after the battle begins.
Typically, for me, I have to take away
about 30% of her life first before this
bug is possible, and it will only work
once.
-
When you see her preparing
to swing away, try getting on top on
the nearest bookshelf. She should appear
on top of the bookshelf next to yours
to throw mines as usual, so keep shooting
at her from where you are.
-
She will take damage
since she’s not defending, and
once she’s done with the mines
she’ll swing away and reappear
on the ground right near the bookshelf
she just stood on.
-
Once on ground, she’ll
shoot and throw knives at you, but again,
if you just keep shooting they’ll
all be deflected.
-
When she’s done
on the ground, she’ll swing away
again and reappear on that very same
bookshelf she was on before, and history
will repeat for quite a number of times.
(I counted and it repeated for about
20 times before she started shooting
bazookas at me.)
-
Lady always says "Okay..."
or "All right..." before she
fires her bazooka so once you hear that,
jump off the bookshelf, avoid the bazooka
and continue with your own usual strategy.
Other times, Lady may just quit the
pattern and do something else instead.
-
Note:
If you mess up during this bug, like
for example accidentally jumping off
the bookshelf before the bug ends (or
pressed the directional keypad to open
a menu), the bug may possibly
end right then. If not, Lady may proceed
to shift her location around the bookshelf
and continue the bug.
-
Warning:
This bug is really tedious
and it WILL waste your hand and tire
you real bad. Damage isn't that much
as well, considering I shoot 5 times
a second and for at least 3 minutes
non-stop. (I do get tired in
between and shoot slower.)
