| Summary:
Dante receives a request to head
to Dumary islands and aid the clan there against
an evil man who happens to be the president
of an international public corporation. His
name is Arius.
Dante arrives and meets Lucia. Before any words
can be exchanged between the two, a nearby house
is destroyed. Dante saves Lucia from the explosion
and soon after, he meets Matier, another member
of the clan.
Matier sends him off to dispatch Arius. She
turns to Lucia and gives her instructions to
keep the Arcana safe from Arius since it is
what he seeks to unlock the gate to the demon
world.
Later, Lucia gets captured during a confrontation
with Arius and discovers that she was actually
once one of his evil Secretaries that Arius
created. Dante comes to her rescue, but hands
Arius the remaining items of the Arcana,
much to Lucia's dismay.
After entering Arius's skyscraper through the
backdoor (the demon world), Dante arrives to
see Arius furious from the fact that his ritual
was a failure. Dante reveals that he had switched
the coin artifact of the Arcana with his own.
Dante then defeats Arius.
After that, Lucia comes and tries to force
Dante to kill her due to her being a demon created
by Arius. Dante replies with "Devils never
cry" and wipes away Lucia's tear that had
trickled down her cheek. Suddenly, the demon
portal opens and Dante enters after a decision
based upon a flip of his coin. If heads he goes,
if Tails Lucia goes. So Dante enters the portal,
and it was at this time when Lucia discovers
that both sides of the coin are heads. Inside
the demon realm, Dante encounters Argosax and
the Despair Embodied. He takes them on and defeats
them.
While Dante is in the middle of this battle,
Arius returns in a demonic form and fights Lucia.
After defeating Arius, Lucia returns to Dante's
office and waits for him. She then hears the
revving of a motorcycle outside and drops Dante's
coin. She runs to meet who she hopes is Dante. |
