Dante -
Lady (M16)

style: Quicksilver

The
battle always starts with Lady swinging
away by her grappler. As she
does this she throws knives at you, so stay far enough to avoid.
-
Shooting
does very little damage on Lady so melee weapons are the way to go, but she is hard to reach. You'll have to wait for the right opportunities to successfully get to her:
- When she prepares to fire her bazooka. (She'll say "Okay..." or "Alright...") [1st phase of battle]
- When she prepares to fire her missiles (She'll say "Eat this!") [2nd phase of battle]
- When she's on top a bookshelf throwing grenades
To get to her you'll have to interrupt her while she's doing any of the above.
The Killer Bee method
The best way to do so is to double jump + Beowulf's Killer Bee. For A and B, when she's hit by Killer Bee she will automatically enter a defensive stance using her rocket launcher but is still vulnerable to attacks, hence allowing you to attack some more.
Note: The best time to activate Quicksilver is the instant your Killer Bee hits her. This way you can extend her period of vulnerability, optimizing damage, a LOT of damage. If prefer playing safe, the best time to activate would be the moment you see her in her bazooka stance.
The Stinger method
Alternatively, you may also use Rebellion's Stinger to close in. She will take damage if hit, but there is no vulnerability after that as she'll dodge and run away (also may shoot/throw knives at you), even if you activate Quicksilver.
However, if you shoot with Spiral right after Stinger, she won't shoot/throw knives at you but instead repeat the loop of shooting you with the bazooka/missiles again (A little bug? Not sure). This means that you can keep repeating Stinger > Spiral shot > Stinger > Spiral shot for as long as she repeats this loop. It can repeat as many as up to 12 times from what I've counted.
-
In cases you don't manage to interrupt or catch up with her while she's doing the above, here are the ways to evade them:
- Bazooka: Double jump towards her right before she fires.
- Missiles: Run to the center of the library and kick jump off a wall when you hear the missiles coming. The missiles will hit the wall instead.
- Grenades: Just keep away
-
Lady
swings away a lot so you’d have
to relocate her often. Sometimes, she'd walk around shooting casually. If you shoot her back from a moderate distance, it may trigger her to fire her bazooka/missiles, creating opportunities A and B. Sometimes, she may also stop to reload her gun.

[Dante
Must Die mode bug?]
|
|
There's this little "bug" against Lady
in DMD mode that I discovered a long time
ago (not sure if it applies to the other
modes).
However, this "bug" does not work
immediately after the battle begins.
Typically, for me, I have to take away
about 30% of her life first before this
bug is possible, and it will only work
once.
-
When you see her preparing
to swing away, try getting on top on
the nearest bookshelf. She should appear
on top of the bookshelf next to yours
to throw mines as usual, so keep shooting
at her from where you are.
-
She will take damage
since she’s not defending, and
once she’s done with the mines
she’ll swing away and reappear
on the ground right near the bookshelf
she just stood on.
-
Once on ground, she’ll
shoot and throw knives at you, but again,
if you just keep shooting they’ll
all be deflected.
-
When she’s done
on the ground, she’ll swing away
again and reappear on that very same
bookshelf she was on before, and history
will repeat for quite a number of times.
(I counted and it repeated for about
20 times before she started shooting
bazookas at me.)
-
Lady always says "Okay..."
or "All right..." before she
fires her bazooka so once you hear that,
jump off the bookshelf, avoid the bazooka
and continue with your own usual strategy.
Other times, Lady may just quit the
pattern and do something else instead.
-
Note:
If you mess up during this bug, like
for example accidentally jumping off
the bookshelf before the bug ends (or
pressed the directional keypad to open
a menu), the bug may possibly
end right then. If not, Lady may proceed
to shift her location around the bookshelf
and continue the bug.
-
Warning:
This bug is really tedious
and it WILL waste your hand and tire
you real bad. Damage isn't that much
as well, considering I shoot 5 times
a second and for at least 3 minutes
non-stop. (I do get tired in
between and shoot slower.)
