Swordmaster
If you're aiming for rank S, it is required
for you to raise your stylish points as much
as possible in the few battles in this mission.
With the additional attack moves Swordmaster
gives, it will be easier to do so. It's also
recommended that you use the Divinity Statue
nearby to change your style depending on the
trials to suit your needs.

Since the battle area is small,
it is recommended that you use Cerberus for
its multiple hits and Agni & Rudra for its
wider range of attack. You have just attained
Agni & Rudra so Air Hike has not been learnt
just yet, but since Cerberus does not have Air
Hike, getting Air Hike for Agni & Rudra
is recommended. If you do not have enough red
orbs, you may want to replay the missions up
to this point.

Earn stylish points in the Trial of Warrior!
The only enemies that appear in this
mission are in the Trial of Warrior, so
if you do not earn enough stylish points
there, it is practically impossible to
get a Devil Hunter rank S. Even when you're
hitting the wall symbols, continue to
shoot with Ebony & Ivory to keep your
stylish points, then connect it with combos.
If at this point you get hit by an enemy,
your damage rank will go down so try not
to pursue the enemy too far.
Note: Reason why the
only enemies you should fight with are
those in the Trial of Warrior is because
those that appear after the Trial of Skill
are mainly Blood Goyles. You can't earn
good stylish points against them.

Time reduction and gaining orbs
Since it is required for you to take
the Trial of Warrior if you wish to get
an S rank, the only other trial you can
skip is either the Trial of Wisdom or
Skill. If you think about the amount of
time taken to finish the trial, the Trial
of Skill may be shorter. To gain more
orbs, grab those floating around in the
Dark Corridor, and don't forget the hidden
falling orbs on top of the Mute Goddess
statue as well.

How do I pass
this trial??
You're given the hint: Use your lifetime
experience: from the crawling infant;
to the man standing tall; and finally
to the old man-leaning on his cane. As
a crawling infant you have '4 legs', as
a standing man you have '2 legs', and
as a man leaning on his cane you have
'3 legs', so in order, enter the doors
with the respective number of red lights:
4, 2 and 3. You will then receive the
Essense of Intelligence.

How do I pass
this trial??
Spikes jut out from all sides of this
trial room and come towards you. Dodge
them all and go to the end of this long
corridor and you will find the Essense
of Skill. Once you take it, Blood Goyles
and Hell Gluttonies will appear but fighting
them is optional. Using Trickster's Dash
to get past the spikes is recommended.
As long as you're at least an inch away
from the spikes, it is possible to get
past without getting hit.

How do I pass
this trial??
To clear this trial, all you have to
do is defeat all the enemies that appear.
However, all enemies here are in Hightime.
In other words, they are in their Devil
Trigger state. During Hightime, their
strength and defense increase (your attacks
will hurt 2/3 less), but if you hit both
the wall symbols in the trial room, they
will turn back to normal temporarily,
then use that chance to take them out.

Obtain the
Artemis!
Only 2 completed trials are required
for the Mute Goddess statue to blast the
wreckage away for you to proceed and clear
the mission, but if you could complete
all 3 trials, you will receive the 3rd
gun - Artemis. If you don't wish to get
it now, you can also just wait until you
get to a certain mission where you can
get it for 'free'.

Hard mode
In the Trial of Warrior, the number of
Hell Prides decreases but the number of
Hell Lusts and Sloths increases. Also,
the Blood Goyles that appear in the Trial
of Skill now turn into Enigmas. |
|
|
|
 |
Dante Must Die mode
All the enemies that appear in the Trial
of Warrior are powered up. If you just
want to clear this mission, go for the
Trial of Wisdom and Skill. In this way,
this mission becomes way easier. In the
Trial of Skill, Blood Goyles/ Enigmas
are now replaced by Soul Eaters. |

 |
Heaven or Hell mode
Even in Hightime, you can still kill
all enemies in the Trial of Warrior in
a single shot so it shoud be easy. On
the other hand, getting hit once by the
spikes in the Trial of Skill will instantly
kill you, so it will be wise to just go
for the Trial of Warrior and Wisdom. |
