And so I'm back... to RAMBLE ABOUT MY REVIVED OBSESSION THAT IS SAMURAI 7 AND KYUUZOU!!!!! *DIES* All of a random sudden, I somehow got back into this anime I watched 2 years ago. Of course, I must admit the biggest reason why I'm obsessed with Samurai 7 is becos of Kyuuzou but I'm still obsessed and that's what matters!

So who's Kyuuzou? He's the hottest, coolest, most kickass AND badass character in Samurai 7. How hard is that to guess? XD For those who know DMC3, he's similar to Vergil, the only difference being he barely talks (when he does it's monologue), and that he seeks perfection in sword fighting based on his own improvement rather than relying on obtaining someone else's power.

Kyuuzou is so strong his battles barely last, and as a samurai who continously seeks challenge in the art of sword fighting, he is always on the look out for a worthy rival. He finally found it in a man named Kambei, who surprised him by skillfully parrying Kyuuzou's lethal attacks that typically kill anybody in one strike. Unfortunately, due to several reasons, Kambei requested that they resume the battle later after he finished his mission, that is to save a village from the bandits (gundam-sized mechanized samurais). Kyuuzou was disappointed, but he still ended up accepting Kambei's request and left.

Later, Kyuuzou went against his own 'people' (the baddies) who tried to kill Kambei, telling them that he is the one to kill Kambei. Having opposed (and killed some from) his own side, Kyuuzou is now a traitor in the eyes of his now ex-comrades. Knowing that he has nowhere else to return to, Kambei asked Kyuuzou to join his team for the 2nd time (first time was when they first fought). Kyuuzou agreed this time, although it's obvious that he's not doing it to save any village nor to be a saint - he needs continuous battles to test himself, and at the same time stay close to Kambei to make sure he doesn't die before their rematch.

So that's Kyuuzou's general er.. introduction and story. He's quite a minor character, and that's a shame, but oh well, what can we do. And cos of my current obsession with him, again, I ended up drawing a couple pics of him... in the Killer Bunny style. XD!!!! Wahahahahaha!!!

I was wondering what animal to make him, until Krizy (a friend) mentioned meerkat and I somehow remembered squirrel from that. XD Considering how much HAIR Kyuuzou has on his head, I thought it'll be funny to turn him into an animal that has even MORE hair! (although this time it's fur.. on the tail LOL) And as a yaoi addict, of cos there's no way I wouldn't draw something like what you saw above XD!!! I'm a total sucker for Kambei x Kyuuzou!!!! KYAAAAAA~~~!! *Dies of fangirliness* If you're wondering what's happening in the 3rd picture, it's what happens if anyone touches the squirrel's uber sensitive tail. XD!! Wahahahaha!!! *Squeals again* Damn, now I'm tempted to draw Kyuuzou hugging his tail sleeping. *_*....

Oh, one more thing. I got so obsessed about Samurai 7 again that when I googled for something on it (I forgot what), I found a Gamespot link and checked it out of curiosity and found out that there is a Samurai 7 game for the PS2. In 2 minutes I found it on eBay and bought it instantly without knowing ANYTHING about the game. (It was half the retail price) XD Actually, I wanted to see what type of game it is, but even the official site has only one trailer and it doesn't show how the system is like. O_o... But I was too obsessed it really didn't matter to me anymore. It's like... get it first, ask questions or regret later. LOL

Damn, I had one of the scariest and weirdest dreams yesterday. It scared me so bad I actually forced myself to wake up from the dream while I was still dreaming.

I don’t remember if there was any real story to it but I remember that I had so many freaking pets! I’m sure I had more than 15 hamsters and or gerbils, 4 cats, 2 dogs and a rabbit, and the one thing that applies to all is... they’re dying! The rabbit has been neglected and it was starving, the cats were missing in the house, the dogs... I forgot what happened to them, and the hamsters and gerbils were giving birth to MORE babies, overfilling the cage. Don’t ask me why I got them, cos’ the dream didn’t exactly tell me how I ended up with them. They were just in the house and I seem to be the one ‘taking care’ of them. Man, that was weird.

Anyway, more weird stuff coming. Apparently, in the dream, I live on the 66th floor of some high-rise building and I have to take the lift up. For some reason, the lift was moving weirdly and I predicted that something would go wrong. There were other people in the lift with me, and when the lift reaches floor 66, the chain or something broke and the lift fell ALL the way down to the bottom floor and crashed. Yeah, with us all in it. The interesting thing is, we all knew to get our feet off the ground the moment of impact, so the bottom of the lift was destroyed but we’re all safe. WTF?? LOL. It happened as if it wasn’t a big deal to any of us! Jesus. Anyway, we didn’t die so that was good.

Figuring I couldn’t get back to my apartment anytime soon, I left the building to meet with my "boyfriend", who is, AS ALWAYS, my ex!! =_=’’ I know I’ve never mentioned it anywhere but since 4 years ago, it has been GUARUNTEED that once in a few weeks/months I WILL dream of him!! And the most interesting thing is, every time I dream of him it’s always about us getting back together!!! Man oh man. This is so damn fucked up. But never mind.

So I left the building and went to meet with him outside where he’s waiting. We were going to decide where to go when the sky grew dark all of a sudden (it was supposed to be day). Heavy dark clouds appeared and everyone looked up in to the sky wondering what was wrong. Then all of a sudden, a lightning or something, just something REALLY devastating struck from the skies and a nearby building got torn and blew up. Everyone panicked, screamed, and fled. It was just like one of those "the-world’s-gonna-die" movies, cos’ for some reason I knew that I was so freaking scared I also started running away with my ex, but at that point I was already scared enough (in the dream) to think "OK, this HAS to be a fucking dream! WAKE UP NOW DAMMIT!!" And I did. LOL.

I woke up and was sooo freaking relieved to know that it was a dream, tho’ of cos’ it has to be. LOL. Some dreams are just so realistic, no? This is not the first time I’ve dreamt of a dream where the world’s gonna end. I don’t remember all of them but I remember at least one more, although vaguely. They were all very realistic, and they scare the crap out of me. I love movies like that but I’d rather they stay as movies, ya know? I seirously hope that when it’s time Earth really dies, I won’t be around.

Hisashiburi~~ And so I'm finally back to add a few more crap to the litterbox (pun intended). So, the stupidest thing that happened recently was this Thursday night. My Guitar Hero guitar finally arrived on that day and I was happily trying it out when a huge storm came and some tree fell and broke the electrical lines or something and a few blocks went out of electricity, including mine! =_= Bastard.

I heard a loud BAM and all of a sudden the lights went out. I figured the apartment will lose electricity for a while, and I was righht. Turning the fuse back on didn't bring the lights back. I was all alone in the freaking dark and I couldn't even see a thing. I don't have any flash light either. Kinda freaked out, I knocked on my neighbor's door to make sure that my apartment's not the only one out of electricity. I also ended up borrowing a candle from them just so I can at least see. Luckily, I realized I do have some candles that I bought in Singapore 3 years ago and so I used them to light up my room a little more. XD

Without electricity there's practically nothing I can do, so I decided to call a friend who lives closeby to see if I can go over to his place. Kind Jacky said okay, but since he's going to his friend's house I ended up going with him there. (Hahaha, thanks Jacky, if you're reading this! ^_^) His friends are kinda funny but boy, they sure love drinking games. O_o''

I finally went back home at around 1.30am and luckily electricity was back! Phewz!! I would have starved if it wasn't >_<! But since electricity was back, I went back to Guitar Hero and played until 5am. >_>" I had only 3 hours of sleep that day so yesterday I slept like a pig. XD It was so awesome. Wahahaha!

Before my guitar arrived, I borrowed the DDR dancing mat from Jacky. For the first time in my life I actually played DDR the way it should be played. LOL. It is really hard for me >_>" I practically look like a retard but since no one's watching I suppose it's fine. XD I found this one song that's really quite tiring and keep playing it over and over until I got tired enough and decided to stop. I was panting enough at the end of it so I figured the exercise might just be working...? Hahaha... I wonder bout that.

Just a couple hours ago, I was at another friend's place. We played and talked most of the time and it was fun. We played more WII sports, and later I tried a little of that Zelda game and Red Steel. Red Steel was quite fun although I can't control the aim properly. It was also my 'first' FPS game! XD Well, technically it isn't my first FPS game since my brother-in-law has made me try some on the Xbox a long time ago, but yeah... those don't count. LOL.

Hmm... one last thing that happened... would be that I cut my hair. LOL. End of blog entry~

So okay, it's only been 4 days since the start of this month and already I bought myself another 'present'. =_= I just find it hard to restrain myself from buying what I really want cos' that is actually quite torturous >_>" so I ended up getting it. It's a well… guitar controller for Guitar Hero, the game I've been playing for quite a while since Guitar Hero 1. If you're wondering how the hell I play that game without a guitar in the first place, think dual shock. O_o… When I first got and played this series, I was entirely reluctant to spend extra money on a unique controller specifically for this game, so I've always stuck with just the dual shock PS2 controller. It's not the 'right' way to play the game but hey, I'm passing the songs just fine and that's all I need. =)

However, the bright moments ended when Guitar Hero 2 presents me with 7 songs that are physically impossible to beat with the dual shock on extreme mode, at least for the average human, that is. Playing with the dual shock is very different from playing with the guitar. It's got its easier and harder aspects.

For example, the 5 different notes/fret buttons are divided between 2 hands, left hand presses the first 2 fret buttons, right hand presses the last 3 fret buttons. So when you go do re mi fa so, you go by left hand middle finger > index finger > right hand index finger > middle finger > thumb. When it's re + fa (at once), you have to hold down your left  hand index finger + right hand middle finger. Weird eh? It takes a LOT of time getting used to; it took me 20-30 hours or so to finally get a 'pretty good' hang of it.

With a guitar, for every single note that shows up, you have to press the corresponding fret button with your left hand and then strum the guitar. Obviously, this way is way more tiring than playing with a dual shock, but when it comes to really fast repeated notes (~6 notes a second), all you have to do is hold the fret button and strum like mad with you right hand, which is a lot easier since flicking the 'strum button' up and down is a lot faster than trying to press the buttons as many times as required when playing with the dual shock. I might be able to press any of the dual shock face button with my right thumb 6 times a second, but the shoulder buttons are a NO-NO. Gimme a break.

If anyone even understood what I wrote above, that is the reason why I can no longer use the dual shock to beat the 7 remaining songs that I haven't beaten on extreme mode. Those songs define madness and all but one are extreme button mashers for the dual shock, but there's NO way I can do that, neither can most humans. So, I figured I need a guitar to pass these songs, but wait, it's not like I've ever played a guitar or even know how to play one, so this guitar controller will bring me back to extreme beginner level. =_=' And who knows how many hours I'll take before I even reach half my current 'level' with the dual shock.

Now, one thing that's a lot easier with the dual shock, is when there are a series of messed up single notes, like do mi so fa mi re do re do re do mi fa so so re etc. In that case the dual shock is like an angel. =D But then again another hard thing would be when there are repeated double chords (2 notes at once) that are pressed with 2 hands like for example do + mi x10. Even if the button pressing rate is slow enough, it is common to mess up since your left and right finger may not press the buttons together at the same time half the time. If say your left finger presses its button 0.2 second faster than your right finger presses its button, that would count as a mistake, a double mistake in fact, since each button that's pressed counts as one mistake. This is unlikely to happen with the guitar since you press the fret notes with only one hand – your left. Your right hand only does the strumming.

But ok, I shall shut up for now since I've not even tried the guitar myself and things could be different, but I'm pretty sure all the above I wrote are valid statements of comparison between the two controllers. Now the worst thing is to be waiting for that damn guitar to arrive. The seller says it'll take 5-7 business days. AARRRGHH!! And hopefully I will not be regretting that I bought this guitar in like 10 mins after I tried it.

In the meanwhile, all other games are on hold... yes... o_o... even Okami and FF12. >_>
