This entry is just going to be my review of Metal Gear Solid 4. It's spoilerless unless stated.
Story - ?? (if half understood, it's a B)
As much as I follow/play the MGS series for its story, ironically I still don't understand it much at all, hence I can't really rate the story as it'll be rather unfair. Most of it is my own fault, cause' I only played MGS2 and 3 but watched MGS1 on youtube. There are also only so few things/facts about the story that I can remember for certain, and that makes it harder to understand MGS4's story.
However, there are some things that happened in MGS4 and or its presentation that in my opinion weren't very agreeable/convincing. In my last blog entry, I wrote about how the cutscenes are long and that I loved it. It's true that I loved it, but whether or not I'd love it just as much when I watch it a second time or more would have to depend on how interesting its context and presentation are.
Sadly, many of the cutscenes in MGS4 are quite monotonous and overly expositional. Characters often just stand/sit around and talk to one another, one side listening, the other explaining. Mind you, explanations are good, cos' already I suck at understanding the story, and if there weren't clear enough explanations for idiots like me, it could have been worse. BUT, such cutscenes in MGS4 typically stretch anywhere from 30-60 minutes in total. For something that bland and sometimes really slow-paced/long-winded to be that long is quite an overkill, especially when it's some bloody long historical lesson by characters like Big Mama, etc. I didn't mind watching through all of it the first time, but by my second playthrough there's no way I'm gonna sit through all that again even if I should cos' I have to understand all of that to understand MGS4's story.

Of course, I shouldn't forget that Kojima did try to make those boring long 'intermission cutscenes' more interesting by enabling you to view the cutscene through a device (MK II) which you can freely control to move around the area, watching the cutscene from your very own angle, or focusing on your preferred characters. I must admit it's very fun the first time I did that cos' it's original, but I'm not sure if I'll be as interested to do it a second time considering how long the cutscene is.

Next, there are a few illogical things that happened in the story that really distract me. <START OF SPOILERS> First, there's the Naomi and Otacon love relationship. They knew each other through codec before but they've never met in person. But somehow, the moment their eyes met the first time they met on a helicopter, they fell in love. Of course, I'm aware that fiction is full of 'love at first sight' romance, and if it's just been that it'd have been fine. But, everything becomes so horribly dramatic (in a very fake fashion) when Naomi chooses to die and Otacon cries and majorly whines about it, asking why this has to happen when he's just about to fall in love (even though they've had sex before that anyway).
It's supposed to be a dramatic and sad scene, but I couldn't help but cringe at how seemingly pretentious it looked, and how I actually didn't feel sorry nor sad for Otacon's loss or Naomi's death. Instead, I felt nothing, and I simply wanted that cutscene to end, even though it had Raiden in it (not that he was saying more than 2 lines). Bottom line, I just felt that their love relationship isn't necessary in the story. It ties in with it a little, but I feel that the same conclusion could have been achieved without using romance, especially when it's so pitiably unconvincing.
Another illogical thing that happened was near the end when Snake collapsed and tried to inject himself with the syringe but it wasn't helping. He laid there struggling on the floor, entirely defenseless, when an enemy soldier saw him. He was holding a gun, and Snake was alone and fully vulnerable. Instead of shooting or capturing Snake immediately and on the spot, the enemy decided to switch to his blade and walked very catiously slow towards Snake. WHY IS THAT??
Snake is DYING. You don't need to be that cautious, and why did you purposely have to switch to your BLADE when a gun is a million times more practical?? That's because if Snake dies now there won't be an ending. Then why create such a dramatic scene which is so disbelieving? It reeks of Escape now, Snake! Or get someone (like ZOMG Raiden???) to help in the nick of time before we slowly walk towards you after a minute even though you're only 5 feet away and attempt to cut you instead of taking a half second to shoot from here. By that time I wasn't at all nervous or anxious. It was just about waiting for obvious Raiden to come and save his ass as usual. When you see blades, you see Raiden. You don't even have to guess. It's an unwritten law of expectation. </END OF SPOILERS>
And then, there's Snake and his 'I'm gonna die' cough scenes. Since MGS4's trailers first came out in 2006, we know that Snake's dying. Having two or three cough scenes is understandable, but to have half a dozen (or more?) of them?? He coughs so much I wonder if he's really gonna die right there and then so that I can have the chance to play as Raiden or something. You must be wondering what's that bad about a cough scene. Well, it'll be 10 seconds of Snake coughing, 10 seconds of him struggling to find his syringe, 5 seconds of injection, and 10 seconds of him getting slightly better and slowly getting up (sort of). Do I really need to see that once every few cutscenes? =_=;

Speaking of redundancy, there's this girl who cooks eggs at the beginning of practically every chapter of the game. That scene alone lasts for I dunno... a minute or so, but stretches when someone else joins the scene. It's not exciting or interesting, nor do I find it symbolic of anything. The only thing it succeeds in making me feel is hungry for eggs. There's also Drebin's monkey, who's repeatedly shown drinking soda, wanting a smoke or simply being loud. I didn't find it funny or cute, so I don't really understand what it's there for.

Another pointlessly repetitive thing would the the scene after the defeat of every single B&B boss fight (Beauty and the Beast). At first it was kind of cool, scary and WTF at the same time when it happens with the first boss, but it got old by the second time it happened, and I was hoping that each of them would be uniquely different. All it does is drag the cutscene and perhaps fan-service the male fans with these female bosses' 'dangerously sexy' ass-waving poses even though it makes no sense why they do that. I should have guessed fan service requires no logic.
Lastly, this is not exactly a bad thing, but I still find it sad that there's less humor this time round (especially considering that most of the humor revolves around just one specific character). I'm aware that Kojima only started incorporating humor into its story/gameplay starting MGS2, and that humor is never originally a default characteristic of MGS. But still it was nice to have lots of funny moments (not to mention the additional parodies!) like in MGS3, not that there aren't any at all in MGS4, cos' it still made me laugh several times and they don't even have to be story related:

Graphics - A++
As mentioned before, it's awesome. Period.
Gameplay A
I already talked about a few things in my previous blog entry about some of the aspects of gameplay, so I'm just gonna add a little more.
- Ninja sneaking vs Rambo blasting
MGS had always been about 'tactical espionage action'. Although it's not game over if you're caught/discovered by enemies, the game always advises/recommends that you sneak around and get past enemies unseen. However in MGS4 it seems that going on a shooting spree is almost more advantageous cos' killing more people gives you more points, and the rambo-tempting over-the-shoulder (camera angle) shooting screams madly of rampage. Some people seem to find this to be a bad thing. Personally, I think it plays just fine.

It's true that MSG4 sort of no longer encourages you to be all-sneaky throughout the game, but in the end it really depends on the individual player's preference. I can choose to rambo if I want to, but I don't want to. I've played MGS the sneaky way (though I fail at it) in the previous games and I will continue to do so for any MGS game, cos' it's the only way I can play that won't get me killed 500 times.
- Little gameplay
In short, MGS4 is prolly 60% cutscenes and 40% gameplay. It took me a while to finish the game during my first playthrough cos' I get lost and stuff but now that I know exactly where to go and what to do, I realize how truly short this game is, especially if you skip ALL the cutscenes. A pro speedrun would prolly be at most like what? An hour plus?
- Being able to buy ammo for any gun at anytime

Personally I find this feature to be friendly towards noobs like me. Of course it takes out the challenge, if any for certain players, of conserving good ammo for good weapons. But if players really want to keep that challenge, they can simply continue to just pick up weapons and ammo without buying. All this feature does is that it gives us lousy (or beginner) players a chance to not suffer horribly.
- Self recharging battery
This is awesome. I was worried if I have to crawl around looking for glowing mushrooms again and I'm glad the answer's no! LOL. But this also means that when the battery is low, you have no choice but to stop using the solid-eye for a while, which can be hard for those who over-rely on it like me.
Music - A-
To be honest I don't remember any of the tracks from MGS4 except for Old Snake's theme. I went back and listened to the bosses' BGMs on the OST and I still don't have much of an impression on them. But I do know that none of the tracks annoyed or distracted me, which in other words mean they aren't that bad despite not leaving much of an impression. And so I decided to give it an A-.
Replay value A+ <unlockables spoiler>
It's bloody annoying that there's no video/cutscene gallery in MGS4 despite having it in MGS3: Subsistence (prolly cos they're planning to release another MGS4 version in a year or so to make moar mahney, and no, the mission briefing section does NOT count as a full cutscene gallery), but becos' Kojima's smart enough to enable the unlocking of several different face masks for Snake to wear (these masks are really more like heads, cos they literally replace Snake's head and show expressions, blink and talk), most players are most likely tempted to replay the game just to watch the cutscenes again with Snake looking like the selected face mask.

For example, in my case, I keep equipping Raiden's mask so that I get to see Raiden in the cutscenes, even though it's not him. (Also, different characters have different personalities and show different kinds of facial expressions when in-character, so when for example Snake puts on Raiden's mask, you get to see Raiden making facial expressions that he normally wouldn't, making it extra fun to watch!) </unlockables spoiler>
There are also 5 difficulty modes, as usual, and players can continue to play a harder mode each time they finish the game. There're no new weapons to unlock every single time you beat the game (unless you earn an emblem; read next paragraph), but you can replay again and again to save up enough points to unlock two very expensive items that most players would love to get their hands on if they aren't good enough to unlock them the traditional way (zero kill zero alert) unlimited ammo + stealth (invisible) camo.
Furthermore, there are a total of 40 achievement emblems that you can earn through various set criterias ranging from lame easy to ultra hard. Some of them unlock new weapons (which you can't buy from Drebin) and face camos, but most of them are just there for OCD-sake (obsessive-compulsive disorder). You'll be surprised at how OCD players can get though, sometimes.. =P
Overall:
Without story 9.5/10
With half-understood story 8.8/10

I thought I wouldn’t be updating the blog until I finish MGS4 so that I can ramble about it like nuts, but since it seems like I won’t be finishing it any time soon considering no one sucks at MGS more than I do, I decided to just write a partial ‘review’ on it based on what I’ve seen/been through so far. No worries though, there won’t be any story-related spoilers.
And because this is not a real REVIEW, I’ll simply list a few things:
1) Long cutscenes
I don’t suppose anyone’s surprised at this but still, the cutscenes sure as hell are long. o_o… Mind you, I love long cutscenes, especially when it comes to MGS, but some of them do feel a tad too long or slow paced. I still don’t mind it though, cos it’s MGS baby! =P These cutscenes go anywhere between 3-15 minutes, and they often play one after another, possibly ending up with a total of 1 hour’s worth of cutscenes in a row. o_o I’m sure at some point everyone playing MGS4 would wonder when these cutscenes will end, but then again I’m pretty sure no one really minds it. =D
2) Great graphics
Pretty self explanatory. I’ve thought so since the beginning and I still think so now. As far as I’ve seen, it’s got the best real time graphics of any next-gen game so far.
3) Male fan service
Man…… There’s like a TON of this in the game. First off, Naomi Hunter. She’s like the MGS4 version of Eva from MGS3. I can understand it with Eva but Naomi? She’s just a scientist (generally speaking) and yet she has to unzip her undershirt and reveal half her boobs even when she’s running or struggling for her life? =_=;; And then there’s the “B&Bs” (Beauty and the Beast), and all four of them are hot babes. I guess that’s compensation to the male fans after having all the members of COBRA as males (except for the Boss) in MGS3.
Mind you, having all four B&Bs as females is no problem. But when all four of them keep posing or crawling in very over the top ‘sexy’ poses after their defeat, that’s obviously super deliberate male fan service. So like, when are we fan girls getting OUR share of the fan service??? *Angry* Where’re our hotties?? Where’s Raiden??! Which brings me to the next thing on the list…
4) NOT enough Raiden

There’s SO NOT ENOUGH Raiden, I can actually count and tell you exactly how many scenes he’s been in so far. Three. Man I’m SO disappointed =/ He also has pretty few lines, excluding those under codec, cos’ most of the time he’s either fighting or sleeping. =__=# However, there is one good thing about Raiden in this finalized game – Kojima went and changed his looks again, resulting in Raiden version 3.0, which looks better than version 2.0 (2007 E3 trailer, aka Raiden Jackson), though sadly still not as hawt as version 1.0 (2006 TGS trailer, aka Kojima Raiden). But at least it’s still better than version 2.0, though still more girly than manly, which I was afraid Kojima would settle for. Phewz!!
5) Suppressed tranquilizer gun + laser sight
One of my biggest concerns when it comes to gameplay was whether or not MGS4 was gonna provide the player with a permanently suppressed tranquilizer gun, considering MGS2 had it but MGS3 didn’t. Luckily for me, it does, and what’s more, it comes with laser sight now that you can shoot using over-the-shoulder camera angle, so I can shoot just like in Resident Evil 4, which makes things so much easier.
Reason why I’m so worried whether the tranq gun is suppressed is cause even though the MGS series includes so many different types of guns for gameplay, I’ve never used anything more than the tranq gun (which is typically the only gun which comes suppressed) unless I must/better use others. I royally suck at this game and I can’t survive if the guns I use go BANG and alert every possible enemy, not to mention it’s a ton safer to knock out enemies rather than kill them in case those who notice call HQ for back up.
6) Night Vision (1 of 3 Solid-Eye modes)
The night vision is awesome. Too awesome in fact, that it’s almost a bad thing, cause after having played the game for 15+ hours (though far from completion), I realize that more than half that time I’ve been playing in black and white. The night vision is a really handy support tool which shows all inanimate objects as grey/black and animate objects as white.
It’s supposed to help you see in the dark (there’re a LOT of dark areas in MGS4), but when it also so blatantly shows you where the enemy is, it could be absurdly abused as a convenient ‘enemy detector’. Not only that, it also clearly marks where items (and also footprints) are placed in an area, which you would have very easily missed otherwise. For these reasons, I find myself using night vision practically all the time, cause I feel so much more secure. However, this is sad cause it means that all the pretty level and texture designs go to waste, cause I hardly ever notice them when all I see is black and white. =(
7) Codec contacts
I must admit I hardly ever call the people on codec in the previous MGS games, but I’m still surprised that in MGS4 there are only two people I can call (so far). I remember that MGS2 and MGS3 had like 4-5 different people. MGS3, in particular, had a lot of funny codec moments especially with Sigint and Para-Medic, and MGS4’s making me miss them considering the lack of humor in the codec dialogs so far.
Anyway, wish me luck. I’m gonna need LOT of it and hopefully there won’t be anymore ‘follow the tracks/lead’ crap. Getting lost and failing for 3 hours for something people beat in 20 minutes ain’t exactly encouraging. |

Okay, today I'll try to write about a few things 'quickly'. First, I think I'm gonna add another guy to the "Hottest Living Male Celeb That I've Seen" list... except, he's a little bit of a special case in the sense that I've never seen him in any of his movies where he looked his bestest best. Hereby I present to you... none other than Keanu Reeves. LOL.

I was surfing google images for guys that I might have left out in the list and the name Keanu Reeves just happened to flash in my head. As I looked through his pictures (the ones where he looked like he did in the Matrix), I was pretty sure that he looked good but not enough to be in the list. But after I surfed a while more, his younger pics came up, including the first two pics above. And then I was stunned. @_@.
Okay, I admit, the yaoi innuendo (would you even call that innuendo anymore?) in the first pic was a part of the reason but putting that aside, he simply looked gorgeous!!! But then I know I've never seen him in any movie whereby he looked like that, cos' the very first/oldest movie I've ever seen him in was Speed, and he sure wasn't that young even then. Anyway, because of those pics, I decided that he prolly deserves a spot on the list, even though he may no longer look like that now. (Hey, at least he didn't change all too much like Val Kilmer did! He's still good lookin'!)
And oh, for your info, the yaoi-ish pic is apparently a photoshoot of him and some other boy for some... project or movie or something by some... photographer. It was just an act, which meant to show how seriously he took up acting since the beginning. So er... yeah. Sad... for those who might have hoped for more than that, like me. >_<!! LMAO.
Next, while surfing on play-asia.com I came across a strategy guide for Metal Gear Solid 4... and ended up buying it. >_O;; I was entirely not even planning to do so cos' I'm not the kind to collect guide books, but... I decided that for MGS4, it's prolly going to be very worth it. It's the limited edition version with hard cover and some extra stuff I guess. I hope it'd have a ton of Raiden yumminess inside!! *_*!!
And OMGGG!!! MGS4's coming out in 4 days this Thursday!!! I'm dying already...!!! Counting down is torture!! AAAHHH!!! And guess what? I even took next Monday (16th June) off from work just to play MGS4!! LOOOL. I didn't even do that for DMC4! XD Ain't that awesome?? *Hyperventilates*
To ease the anticipation, I even tried to get myself temporarily obsessed with something else, like someone or some movie. I ended up choosing Christian Bale to fill in the void. And when it comes to Christian Bale, the first movie other than Batman Begins which I should watch would be Equilibrium, a 2002 sci-fi/action movie that came out around the same time as Minority Report.

In a few words - this movie's a definite 10/10. It took me so long to finally watch it even after hearing about it for a few years because I had assumed that it was plainly a flashy action movie, but I was wrong. It does have some flashy action scenes, but it was not the action that impressed me, it was the story. However, I don't want to spoil anything related to the story, and I won't even briefly summarize it, because when I watched it I had zero idea what it's about, and that was how the story came to me as a pleasant surprise. For those who've not seen it and are ever willing to give it a chance, please do watch it. (You can watch it here via online streaming)

After Equilibrium, the next Christian Bale movie I watched was American Psycho, a 2000 movie. I also saw it without knowing a thing about what kind of movie/story it was, and this time it came to me as a shock. >_<!! In a gist, the movie's supposedly a combination of Comedy, Drama and Horror. I noticed the stated genres before I watched it, but I had no idea what to expect. Personally, I think it's a good movie, but hell it scared me quite some bit and I had to hide my face behind my pillow whenever it got too scary/disturbing for me. >_O;;
Another thing that distracts me is the fact that Christian Bale looked so different... even though he's 2 years younger in this movie than he was in Equilibrium. At some points in the movie I even thought he looked like Jim Carrey... which isn't a good thing. =_=;; (But OMFG look at that body of his in the last picture!!! *Dies*) Apparently, Christian Bale worked out with a trainer for 3 months to achieve this body just for the movie... O_O
Anyway, to summarize American Psycho (without spoilers), it's about the life of a wealthy and narcissistic man, Patrick Bateman, who tries so hard to fit in with the people around him, but who is naturally (?) a psycho who wants to live with his own individuality, which somehow results in commiting murders (a lot of them for no apparent reason) and becoming a serial killer. If you like creepy stories with a mix of mindfuck, violence and some nudity, you'd like this movie.
Lastly, here's my review of Folklore, before I forget or lose the motivation to write about it ever once MGS4's out:

Graphics - A
The pre-rendered cutscenes are pretty, but some characters' complexion are too bright and smooth that they look like porcelain. The in-game graphics are nice in general, but the environment designs aren't too impressive. Other than the first world (the Faery world), the rest hardly stand out and comprise of somewhat dull colors. The enemies/creatures are also often repeated or are simply a variation of one another, which sadly smells of either laziness or lack of ideas.
Story - B+

The story is a tough one to rate. In in the end it really depends on each individual player and their perception/understanding of it. To put it simply, Folklore is a fantasy-mystery story about a girl trying to find her long-lost mother, and a reporter who's trying to solve the murders of a few people to write a story on. For a start, it's an interesting story/mystery, and as you play through the game it reveals bits and pieces of new information.
However, for the longest time after playing a dozen hours or so, nothing much happened and that made the story telling feel very slow. It came to me immediately that Folklore could have just been a movie/animation instead of a game, because there is not even much of a reason for the characters to be fighting enemies as 'fighting enemies' isn't crucial or even necessary to the story. The gameplay became more of a chore which is required just for us to find out what might happen next.
Anyway, back to the story, of course there are bound to be twists and surprises. As the girl and reporter dig in deeper into the mystery, more people get killed and more questions arise. Though I might have been confused for a long time, the answer to the twist eventually came naturally to me before it was even revealed. You see, I love mystery stories but I know I'm bad at guessing twists cos' I always guess it wrong when I watch movies. So if I actually guess a twist correctly, it means that it's not a big/impressive enough twist. The ending to Folklore was also not particularly intriguing or surprising as I had hoped it'd be, which was disappointing. But other than that, it was still quite a pleasant story, once you pull through the borings parts and get to where they finally reveal the good bits, that is.
Gameplay - C

No matter what people say, Folklore IS a hack and slasher. Basically, you mash a button to execute a move, kill a creature and then absorb its soul. Absorbing the soul of a new creature grants you that creature's ability, so you'll now mash another button to execute a new move, kill another creature and then absorb its soul + rinse and repeat for the rest of the game. Of course, I must add that the above procedure isn't exactly mindless like most hack and slashers, cos' at some points it does make you think, but once you finished thinking, it's the same thing all over.
What happens is this: Each creature you absorb has an element of a certain kind, be it fire, ice, earth, etc. To take down certain new creatures, you need certain moves with the right kind of element. It may sound easy, like fire vs ice or something, but the game includes many kinds of non traditional elements, which means you're likely to do a trial and error using each different creature/element until you get the right one to defeat the new creature. If you don't like trial and errors, what you can do is refer to the so-called "picture book" in the game which hints to you which creature you'd need to defeat whatever new creature you're fighting, in picture-form. These pictures are drawn in a clever way which makes it quite hard for you to tell what it is, and that is where the actual 'challenge' or 'thinking' comes into play in Folklore's gameplay. But once you figure out what creature it is or simply refer to a walkthrough, you're back to hack and slashing, which is why I find the game boring and not to mention tedious.
How is it tedious? In this game you're required to play with both the girl and the reporter. There're 5-7 worlds total in the game and you have to clear each world once with each character, which is absurdly repetitive. For that reason you also end up fighting the same boss twice, even though logically it had been defeated and died before the second time you fight it.
There are many side quests and extra downloadable content (from PlayStationNetwork) for the game, but in the end the things you do are basically the same - fight and absorb new creatures, or defeat even more creatures, all of which is done by mashing one selected button all the way through. The way I see it, anything optional is not worth your time. Playing real Hack and Slashers like Sengoku Basara is even more gratifying than Folklore.
Music - B
In the beginning I was so sure I'd give the music rating an A or more.
The main themes (A Mysterious Door, To the Unknown World) to Folklore are very magical and kind of eerie in a very enchanted way. They sound great, and almost feel like a movie. However, after playing through the game, I find that the BGM for each world and boss aren't exactly memorable, nor are they particularly nice. Compared to the main themes, they sound dull and that pulls the grade down considering that perhaps only 2 out of 50+ tracks are main themes to the game.
Replay value - D
Due to the tediosity of the gameplay and the fact that the game is story-driven, there is really no point in replaying the game after you've mashed enough buttons to find out the truth/twist of the story. I am not sure what you can unlock (other than alternate outfits) after beating the game once, but even if there's anything to unlock, there is still no way I'd touch this game again, which is the reason why I sold it.
Overall - 5.2/10 (B-) |
3rd June 2008, Tuesday |
I'm currently 'brainwashed' by hot dudes (real ones this time =P), some of which I've mentioned, and since there's nothing else in particular other than Folklore's review (for which I'm too lazy at the moment) to write about, here is my entry on "The Hottest Living Male Celeb That I've Seen", by my tastes of course.
However, be aware that most of these pictures of them are from a very long time ago, which means they are unlikely to still look like that. Regardless of how much they may have changed/aged over the years, we should embrace them and accept however they may look right now, and so I've also included a rollover-thumbnail picture of their more recent photos. ^_^
 |
Kevin Richardson - Musician
(Backstreet Boys)
As mentioned before in an earlier blog entry, I've known of Kevin since 1997 when Backstreet Boys and other boy bands first got popular in Singapore. Other than Nick Carter (for a 12 year old girl Nick is always the type), he was the only other member of the band I thought was good looking. Though I'm 11 years late, I've now truly awakened to his beauty. He has very beautiful eyes and a manly yet beautiful face shape, and he's tall and well built. *Drools* |
 |
Darren Hayes - Musician (Savage Garden)
Though he's been around since Backstreet Boys' time, I've never even recognize him. I had heard of Savage Garden but I had no clue who the 2 guys in it were until recently. Once again I may be 11 years late but I feel so enlightened now that I finally 'know' him. Other than being ultra pretty and adorable, his most noticable trait is his awesomely beautiful and striking voice. There aren't exactly many who can sing like him, you know. |
 |
Gale Harold - Actor (Queer As Folk)
I probably first saw him in 2002 on Showtime TV late at night when it was running Queer As Folk season 1. It was pure coincidence, and a coincidence I shall forever be grateful of. Queer As Folk is a TV drama series on homosexuals and Gale stars the main character, the hot and unapologetic Brian Kinney. So as you can see, it didn't take much for me to get hooked to him and the show. But to be honest, he looks his best only in motion so if you don't think he's hot (enough), check out some QAF video clips on youtube. He won't disappoint you. |
 |
Josh Holloway - Actor (LOST)
I first and only saw this guy from the TV series LOST, starring as character named Sawyer. He started out with shorter hair and a shaven face but as the series continues his character's default image becomes that of the image on the left, which is hot anyway. XD Josh speaks with a Southern US accent, and was once offered the role of Gambit for the X-Men movies but sadly he refused. And, no matter how many of you disagree, I think that he'd make an awesome DMC4 Dante. |
 |
Val Kilmer - Actor (Batman Forever)
Impressively, I'm 13 years late in knowing this guy. It was early 2008 when I re-watched Batman Forever (1995) and noticed him. Damn, he was hot, and charming! There was just something in him (other than his pretty deep and sexy voice) that made him like the kind of man many women would swoon for. Sadly, that was him only from back in 1995 as he currently looks very different. Still, I will not forget the time he'd looked his best. |
 |
Christian Bale - Actor (Batman Begins)
Frankly speaking, I barely know Christian Bale. In fact, I know him less than I know Val Kilmer, but I didn't even have to watch any of his movies to know/remember him. I first saw his picture when I was discussing with a friend which actor could possibly fit as Vergil (Devil May Cry). My friend suggested Christian Bale, and that's how I knew of him. I must say though, if he still looks like he did in the pic on the left, he would have passed as Vergil with a bloody A+. His one and only movie that I've watched so far is Batman Begins, and he was definitely hot. *_* |
