And so it's another Lolita day (well it's actually called the Street Fest 2008) and I'm wearing my last dress that I haven't officially worn out before. I got this dress back in New Zealand and hadn't had the chance to wear it until today. I like it that it's a unique metallic purple in color but everyone who saw me kept thinking it's pink. =/ The hell... But under the yellow/indoor lighting in these pics, you won't be able to really tell its true color. And so.... it's cam-whoring time again. =D

Luckily and coincidentially enough, my coworker Yu Xi was at Suntec during the event. And so we met up and for the first time she saw me wearing lolita live. =D Nyahahaha~!! Notice how I'm wearing a 3-inch tall pair of shoes and I'm still shorter than her? >:( That's so unfair!! T__T

The Ash Crimson cosplayer in the first pic is a friend of Michelle (2nd person from the right) and tho' I don't know her, I pulled her in for a pic. What do you expect? It's photo-galore time!! The rest are well... You gotta admit, the bat is a lot of fun. =D

The first two pics are the standard lolita ah-lian gangsta poses with a cigarette (yar, I kept that cigarette I borrowed from a friend during the previous lolita event in March, LOL). I do that with pretty much every lolita dress I wore and I'm determined to keep it as a personal tradition. =P The rest are me and my friends with the bat, again. In the last pic, I had only one long sleeve cos' I was taking off the sleeves (they're detachable) when I decided to take one picture like that. But damn, the moment I even posed some photographers came up to grab a shot as well. LOL. I guess there aren't many gangsta-lolis in the world after all =D *ish proud*

I only took so few photos of other cosplayers this time, cos' there weren't very many impressive cosplayers since it wasn't really a dedicated cosplay event. The first one I took with was this 'ang moh' (caucasian) who was dressing as some lolita maid I guess. It's rare to find a caucasian here in Singapore cosplaying/lolita'ing, so yar, I grabbed her before she disappeared and asked for a pic. =D

And then!!! I found the Sasuke I saw back in EOY 2007!!! OMGGGG!!! *laughs* He still looks as adorable as ever~~! *dirty thoughts, no, not really* He's still cosplaying as Sasuke this time, but in his like.. version 2.5 outfit or something. But I swear I don't remember seeing Sasuke wear all black... Hmm....

Next, we saw.... o_o... Ryuk...! A very well done cosplay of him if you ask me!! The wings looked pretty damn heavy and hard to balance tho', and he wasn't even able to move around freely. He was also very busy taking pictures since the moment we saw him till like hours later. Poor dude. LOL.

And then there was a Kula from King of Fighters and Axelow (?) from Guilty Gear. I actually mistook that Axelow person as Lilly Cane From King of Fighters. I had hoped it was Lilly but oh well... The last pic was of... some Visual-kei band, I guess...? I don't actually know what/who they are but since they're extreme I took a picture anyway =P

So, that's pretty much it. This is the shortest lolita/cosplay event of the three I've went to, and it's also the one where we did the least of anything. LOL. I predicted that much though, so it didn't come as a disappointment whatsoever. Even if worse comes to worst, it's still fun cam-whoring. =P But shit... now I remember. I fuckin' forgot my awesome sunglasses!!!! UURRRGHHH!!!

In any case, I'm also bloody excited about MGS4!!! It's coming out here on the 12th of June!! ^__^!!! I've already pre-ordered my copy, now have you??? OMGGGG!!!! *o*

Thanks to some random but ingenious idea involving Leon S. Kennedy and some other boys from Resident Evil, I’m currently back into the classic late 1990s boy band phase. And when it comes to classic BOY BANDS, the first one that comes to mind just has to be Backstreet Boys. They are the band I first knew of when I was 12, which means it’s now been 11 years. o_o… That is practically as long as the day since I started gaming, which means to say it means A LOT.

I know quite a number of their songs, their old ones that is, but there’re only several that I like, starting with “I’ll Never Break Your Heart” and “Anywhere For You”. But right now, my #1 favorite BSB song is “Shape of My Heart”, and so regardless if you hate pop and boy bands, here is the music video of that song =D

Along with my revived ‘love’ for BSB, I also realized that I’m even more in love with one of their boys – Kevin Richardson. If you don’t know which he is, he’s the tallest, oldest and manliest of them all, not to mention the hottest and most beautiful in my eyes. *DROOLS*

Simply put, if I were a man, he’d be the love of my life. XD!! I’m a twisted girl who has the heart of a man (and a seme/top) sometimes, so hopefully that explains my previous statement. *Creepy smile* Of course, all the above photos of him are from like 1997-2000, but like whatever you know? He’s still a beauty to me. ^_^

Next, there’s Boyzone, of course. That’s always another classic representative from the UK. I remember first hearing them from a girl friend in Primary 6 who was very into them, especially Ronan Keating and Stephen Gately. I liked their songs, but for some reason the boys never really attracted me. LOL.

At that time their ultra famous songs include “Words” and “No Matter What”.  But my personal favorites are “Isn’t It A Wonder”, “Picture of You” and “I Love The Way You Love Me”.

Next…. Savage Garden. *Swoons and dies*

Wait, don’t be mistaken. It is not that Savage Garden is my #1 favorite boy band whatsoever (though I must say I love the vocalist's voice). It is also not that they are the hottest boys ever, although I must admit I would hump the guy on the right (Darren Hayes; the vocalist) if I were a man. (But before that I’d hump Kevin, he’s way more important =D) But anyway, what made them SOOO special to me is just one song – I Knew I Loved You.

Bottom line, I’m a super sucker for soothing and melodic sappy songs. Lyrics don’t matter, but for the above song it really helps me with my yaoi fantasies, so it’s a bonus (especially when I finally found out that Darren is gay, which practically makes the above music vid meaningless LOL). XD I love this song so much that I listened to it for over 25 hours across 3 days without switching to a different song since the day I recently fell in love with this song all over again. This is pretty much the first time I’ve ever listened to a song like this.

So that’s it for boy band pimpin’. And on a very, very random change of topic, written below are ways on how you can try to lose some weight (LOL, WTF right?), based on what I’ve learnt/been told by my consultant from the weight management center I’ve recently been going to:

• Drink loads of water (8-9 glasses per day)
• But stop drinking a lot 2 hrs before you sleep
• Eat less for dinner, especially anything with carbohydrate
• Never eat dinner past 9pm. Best before 8pm.
• For meat, eat only chicken and steamed fish (no red meat)
• For fruits, eat either apples, oranges, pears, kiwis, pineapple, etc (no seasonal fruits like mango, lychee, banana, etc)
• For noodles, no yellow noodles allowed, including instant noodles
• Remove the skin/fatty parts when eating meat
• Obviously, no fried and oily food
• No soda, coffee, milk etc. If possible just drink plain water, warm.
• Do not add gravy to your rice, especially curry
• Sweat A LOT. You can either exercise, or simply wrap yourself up with layers and layers of blankets/towels until you sweat like mad, but I’m not sure if the latter works without some special product and hot blanket. Steam baths/saunas could work as well. (Anything that’ll make you sweat and your heart pump fast)

Usually I'd be wasting away my time writing an entry about how I lost my bluehost server about 2 weeks ago and had to find a new server blablabla, but no I'm not gonna do that cos' it's boring and redundant so I'm just gonna write about what I did the day after my server was banned. Well, it's got nothing to do with the internet/web servers for sure, cos' me and the team from work went to Sentosa to play~!! ^_^!!! The whole group consists of "The 4 Girls" (me and the girl workers), the boss, the newcomer + his wife, and 2 people from the UK team who came over for 2 weeks for work.

We started the day with lunch at Sushi Tei at Vivo City at around 12+pm. There was quite a lot of food at the end, and I ordered some something mayo roll and some omelette unagi thing and a bowl of Tonkotsu Char Siew ramen. It was pretty filling considering I shared my ramen with some people.

As girls we love to take a lot of photos too, in and outside of the restaurant. XD. Girls will always be girls. Anyway, I'll introduce the girls based on the 2nd and 3rd pics. From the left - Yu Xi, Natalie, me, Michelle. Yu Xi's so tall and slim I feel envious and depressed each time I think about it. >_o;; In fact, all three of them are skinny and I'm the only fat one! Dammit... T__T...

This is the area right after getting off the monorail. It's a good place to take a good shot of the Merlion at the back. I love the 3rd pic a lot; the way our boss posed was pretty funny, and Natalie thinks it looks like Sir Stamford Raffles. LOL. Look at his pants, he looked like he's so ready to have a beach party. And oh, for those who actually noticed, we were missing the two people from the UK team in these pics, cos they decided to take the cable car instead of the monorail and they hadn't arrived.

The first real activity we did after reaching Sentosa was the "Luge". It's this new attraction where you basically ride on a board like those in the pics and slide down a slopy path until you reach the end. These things don't need motors since they're just using the force of gravity, but cos' of the degree of the slope they do end up sliding pretty fast. It was fun, but the sad thing is that it's too short. You'd reach the end of it in less than a minute and one ride is like 8 bucks. >_>;;

Since our package was for 3 rides, somehow people are gonna have to find a way to get back up that slope and that's why they have the "Skyride". As you can see in the pics there're no real fasteners or safety belts and such. It's a slow and steady ride so all there is is just a bar over your legs. It could be a little scary at first but you'd get used to it, especially when you spend so much time cam-whoring that you forget just how high above the ground you are. XD!!!!

After the Luge rides our only next stop that we planned on going to was the beach. Along the way we posed by this shop for some photos... as always. =P So now you can see the two missing UK people - the one wearing a Superman tshirt, and the one in the center on the back row wearing white. The dark skinned girl beside the boss is his girlfriend, and the two in the front are the newcomer and his wife. =)

And so here we are the beach... and first thing already we're cam-whoring yet again...! XD!!! Isn't it wonderful when the girls you hang out with share the same habits?? XD So yeah, while the 4 girl swere busy taking more pics, the others were simply sitting on the beach; they look like our 'parents'. XD.

The last thing we did before we called it a day was to play frisby. None of us had one actually, we just borrowed it from a nearby group of people. The boss's idea was that we split the 8 people who were playing into two groups and play competitive frisby or whatever he called it. Apparently it's the way the UK plays frisby but who knows if it's the way everyone plays frisby in general. XD. Basically, someone will have to select two goal points (e.g. a tree) and each team will have to throw the frisby to a team member at their selected goal point. Everyone's free to run anywhere to catch/guard the frisby but the one who has the frisby in hand can only throw the it without moving away from the spot s/he's in when s/he caught it. I know I suck at explaining but I'm sure you get the idea.

We played about 8 rounds in total, each round less than 1 minute, but by the second round everyone's panting like mad. LOOOOL. It was funny when the boss said "Phew, this shows how unfit we are!" XD!! So sad yet so true. >_o;; Anyway, that's pretty much it. After that we went home and that's that. ^_^
