few days ago I wanted to update this blog, but I got lazy. Got a
few things I wanted to say, but I forgot some, or some details.
So this time I'll make it as general and as quick as I can...
Okay, this past Thursday or so, I
don't remember exactly when, me and Leslie went to the Eugene something
fair after work. Paid $8, got in the fair, walked around, lined
up, got some food. I got Phad Thai, and the banana split was the
best thing I've eaten in 2 weeks. Finished eating, walked around
some more, looked at the rides, didn't get on any (no money and
don't wanna risk puking), bought Leslie (for her birthday) something
she wanted, realized it was 8pm, went home.
That same day I got my MGS2 Substance,
tested it immediately, didn't work. Desperately went to Jacky's
to test it on his machine, didn't work either. Next day I decided
if a burnt copy of it will work, the DVD burner spat the blank DVD
out asking "Please insert blank DVD". And NO, it's NOT
the DVD's fault. It's the same one I've been using to burn numerous
copies of games. Went back home, pissed, annoyed, put my MGS2 Substance
aside. Collected dust in 2 seconds.
Still haven't continued Silent
Hill 4 yet, since playing alone is rather boring, and I chickened
after hearing what my sister told me bout ghosts and crap. Talked
about it with Krizy and some others on IRC and it creeped me out
even more.
Saturday evening, I went out with
an old friend Cecilia, went to Beppe & Gianni's, treated her
to dinner for her birthday, talked a bit. Another friend who was
with us reminded me of how much I wanted to watch the rest of Queer
as Folk again, so I asked him to bring me to Hollywood Videos,
found the DVDs, rented them, came home, and watched for 10 hours
straight. Awesomosity.
Today, my nice and kind and sweet
sister (LOL) helped get me stuff from Costco, which includes my
damnest favorite healthiest frozen food ever, gyoza. Thank
you. Cooked 13 of it almost immediately after I got up (btw,
1 serving = 5 pieces, it says), too bad I burnt it, but ate it anyway.
Continued with my Queer as Folk and finished it by 8pm. Hot hot
hot.
And since my Sengoku Basara 2
still hasn't arrived, let me ramble a bit about my absolute favorite
at the moment - Date Masamune. I'll try make it short. He's a video
game character, based on a real Japanese historical figure - Date
Masamune. Dunno much about the real guy himself. Let's just say
he's, okay, was, a fucking good swordsmith and a brilliant battle
strategist who's blind in his right eye. He's been made into a video
game character in several games, which includes Sengoku Basara,
Samurai Warriors, Tenkabito, Kessen... etc

From the left, it's Date Masamune
in Sengoku Basara, Samurai Warriors and Tenkabito. Notice the similiarities
1) Has a crescent on his helmet (sorry if u can't tell in the middle
pic) 2) Wears blue 3) Wears an eye patch for his right eye. Only
played and will only play Sengoku basara, but as far as character
design goes, I say the right most picture from Tenkabito is the
best. Looks Gundam-ish, but heck, even with all that armor
and barely 2 square inches of skin revealed, he's still hot. Period. |

week Sunday, I went out with Leslie (for her birthday) and some
other people from work to a creek to play in the waters. I forgot
the name of the creek but I definitely remember that I've been there
once before, prolly bout 2 years ago with my sister & her friends
to hike. Anyway, the creek looked so inviting. I knew it'd be cold
cos' I remember how cold it was back then with my sister, but hey,
I came to play in the waters, and so soon enough I was all 'bathing'
in it. The water here looks even cleaner than the resevoir where
we canoed a month ago, but Leslie's brother said we better not drink
from it. Well, it's not like I was thinking of drinking from it,
but I did think the water looks clean enough to drink. ^^"
There were 6 of us, 3 girls, 3 guys. Two of the guys were quick
to get in the water already. In fact, they got in the water by jumping
of a ~7 meters tall cliff! Damn! That's just something I can't do.
LOL. Of cos' first thing its the height, but really, imagine how
painful it'll be to land in water from such a height. I prolly won't
land right and slap myself against the water. O_o I'm so not risking
it, but the guys did. They just flew off the cliff and spashed into
the water. Haha! It was fun watching them. I later tried to jump
off too, but only from a very short height. I doubt it was higher
than 1.5 meter. Even with just that height, I got water in my nose.
See? It'd be wise for me never to try extreme heights. There was
this log near the plunge pool and we played with it by hanging onto
it for no reason. It randomly reminded me of the Titanic movie since
those people were hanging onto broken pieces of wood when they were
in the cold Arctic water. LOL. The water was cold and it was getting
even colder since it was turning into evening. Soon after that,
we left the creek and went back to Eugene.

One of the guys left but the rest
stayed at Leslie's place for dinner and movie. We watched "V
for Vendetta". I know of that movie through Krizy, a close
online friend I made through my DMC3 site. She was so in love with
that movie I can't possibly forget. So, I just had to watch it to
see it for myself. It was indeed interesting. The story's set a
little in the future but there were lots of references to the world
today. If you think about it, it's got quite some depth and meaning
to it. Plus, the main character V is pretty unique personality-wise.
And the way he talks is interesting. I'd recommend it for most to
watch. ^_^
Then, last friday, I burnt my copy
of Silent Hill 4. Since I gotta make sure it works before
returning the original to Gamefly, I boot it up and ended up playing
it, asusual. LOL The game's quite creepy. The story's about about
a man named Henry, who moved to an apartment, and one week later,
he was 'stuck' in the room and couldn't get out. The doors are sealed
and prolly unbreakable due to some unseen powers as well. The telephone
line is cut and the TV is out of power even though sometimes it
will randomly turn on itself (only fizz shows on the screen) but
you can't shut it off. The creepiest thing is the main door. It's
chained and locked, but from the inside. On the door, a
message "Don't go out! -Walter-" is written in red.

Henry has barely anything in his
apartment, including food. It doesn't look like he'll have anything
to break the chains. Plus, it prolly has some magical powers and
he couldn't be able to get out anyway. So, one day, he woke up and
found a hole in the bathroom wall. He had no idea how it got there
and who did it, but it was a hole that seemed to lead to somewhere
outside. So, Henry decided to climb in and ended up some place else.
He even met a woman there but strange things happened and Henry
didn't know if it was real or not. In any case, even after wondering
far and away, he will eventually end up back in his own apartment.
And every other time he returns to his room, he will either receive
a mesage written on red paper from under the front door or see bloody
hand prints increase on the wall across his front door if he peeks
through the door hole. So, the story and game is about Henry finding
out what's wrong with the apartment, what's happening, how to get
out and save himself. It's pretty interesting, but the game itself
can be rather bland at some points. It startled me a few times when
Tyrone watched me as I play, and those moments ended up being funny.
LOL. The scariest and most disturbing moment ever was when we were
checking out the many rooms in this long corridor one by one, and
one of them has this freaking giant woman head the size of the room
itself standing right in front of Henry, her eyes moving left and
right staring at us!! HOLY FREAKK!!!
Such moments remind me of the great
times when I first played Resident Evil 4 with a friend.
Resident Evil 4 wasn't really all that scary since it's more an
action than horror game, but regardless, it was so much fun! I'm
now barely half way through Silent Hill 4 at 5+ hours, but hopefully
I'll finish it soon. Although, I must say, the only game I really
feel like playing now is Sengoku Basara 2... and it'll be long before
it finally arrives. It's painful having to wait for so long. >_<.
Another game I'm playing is One
Piece Grand Battle. This one's elementary to play but fun nevertheless.
Mind you, it's really hard to master despite how easy to learn it
is. It's a fighting game, but it's more of the 'run around crash
and throw stuff at opponent and pick items and do moves' typa game.
It can be pretty fun when playing with a friend instead of the CPU
since the CPU gets really cheap on harder modes (I've only played
on easy...) The graphics are good and they're really adorable XD.

The one horrible thing
is, this is the US version of the game, which means the voices are
dubbed entirely, and there's NO option of changing to Japanese voices....
You DUNNO how BAAAAD many of the characters are!!! OMGGGG!!! What
a freaking insult!!! Oh well.. should have expected that, huh. I
found out from FAQs and such that there're so much to unlock in
this game, but the problem is, they're hard to unlock.
O_o And there're even criterias on HOW to unlock them, it's so troublesome.
Not only that, it is required that you play it on the highest difficulty
level too, if you want to unlock any of the last 8 characters or
so. O_o... Damn. Oh well, I guess I'll just give up? XD
Anyway, FINALLY, YesAsia
freaking shipped my Sengoku Basara 2 game and manga!! =_=
GOD!! It took forever!!! Like 2 freaking weeks!! And it's gonna
take 2 more freaking weeks before they'd even arrive!! AAAHHHH!!

And finally, here's
something I drew and colored during midnight... Took a few hours...
but... I think it was worth it...? I've never really bothered drawing
nicely. This one took long cos' I had to draw, then scan, then re-draw
using Illustrator, and finally color with Photoshop. *Sigh* But
oh well, I kinda like how it turned out. =) The guy in the pic is
a character I drew 4 years ago... I suddenly felt like drawing him
again cos' of someone who wanted to use him in the game he's making
and turn him into a 3D model and such... That's so AWESOME!!! So
yeah man, I'm back to drawing him just once more time, just for
that guy and myself =) |

| And
so I'm back. =) Missed me? =D Okay... so I have a few things to
say I suppose, none of which is important. LOL So first off, I'm
proud (for no reason) to say I actually bought more original
games ! =P Yes! And not only that, they're the NTSC
Japanese version! =P But because of that I also overspent in one
single day. =_= Crap.
So what I got was Metal
Gear Solid 2: Substance and Sengoku
Basara 2. =P I actually went ahead and got myself the original
for MGS2 Substance, can you believe that!? O_o!! Well, it wasn't
that expensive ($20), that's why, and I could NOT resist the curiosity
to listen to Raiden in JAPANESE!! KYAAA~~!!!! Plus, this version
will have all the extra mini games... Heard they're hard, but heck,
extra stuff, why not?! =P Raiden in Japanese...! OMG!! Mwahahahahaha!!!
I so can't wait!! And ye know, I actually had to order this game
twice. The first time I did in yesasia.com,
they cancelled the order after 3 days saying that they realized
they actually don't have the game in stock anymore from their provider,
so I had to find some place else to get it =_= I ended up getting
it in play-asia.com,
luckily, for right about the same price. =)
About Sengoku Basara 2,
OMG... my love for this game (that just turned into a series) revived
one random day just cos' I was recording some footage from the first
game for a friend!! And since I heard the 2nd game is out, I just
had to check it out. I looked on eBay hoping to find a pirated version.
I even emailed the person who sold me the pirated version of the
first game! But GAAHH!! It seems they just don't have it anywhere
but Japan, yet. >_< And since I hardly have any patience when
it comes to things like this, I just HAD to get the original...
just so that I don't have to wait. =_= Yes... And so I bought Sengoku
Basara 2 from yesasia.com and spent $60 just like that =_=
..... Oh well, all for impatience. Blame my nature. T__T
And not only that! While I was ordering
the game from yesasia, I found that they have a few volumes of MANGA
for the game too! HOLY JESUS!!! How come I never knew that?!?! So
it was an INSTANT buy!! Like, INSTANT. The moment I saw the word
'comic' I immediately clicked on BUY! LOL!! Each volume costs like
$9... so yeps... O_o I seriously CAN'T wait to see it!!!! GAAAHHH!!!
Ok, back to the game itself. I was
done with Sengoku Basara (Japanese version), but I wasn't
with Devil Kings (the US version of the same game), so
I've been playing Devil Kings instead, especially since it's got
more stuff in the gameplay, but one day just after I started, the
damn DVD copy died on me. =_= It won't work no matter how many times
I tried. I was itching to play it even tho' I really could have
just ignored it and played other games, but I couldn't. Because
of that, and with the latest addition of new games I want to get,
I ended up re-subscribing for Gamefly. O_o Yeah. Awesome, ain't
I? =P For weeks, there used to only be 2 games left in the Games-to-Get
page, but if you'd click on that link later to check it out, you'd
see how many more I've added. =P
Oh yeah, one thing to rant and complain
about is, I TRIED to download and burn the Sengoku Basara 2
game from a torrent!! I tried, dude, I tried!! The torrent
had weird files taking up a total of 3.38GB. It finished downloading
in 2 days but I don't have a DVD burner so I transfered the files
to my external HD and brought it to school to find a computer to
burn and guess what? NONE of the PCs at school have a firewire port!!
WTFFF??! Well okay, from that I realized that most PCs don't come
with a firewire port... at least the ones at school AND work don't.
But MY computer is old and it has TWO firewire ports. How the hell
did that happen? =_= Ci Wei, think ye can tell me why?
Anyway, I insisted on burning through
a PC cos' I don't think Macs can burn the files right for a PLAYSTATION
2 console to be able to read it. All these time I've used a PC and
I just feel a lot safer with a PC. But I was freaking desperate
man, seriously. I couldn't stop thinking about other ways I could
use to burn the files that day on Sunday. I kept calling my friends,
and all of them don't have firewire ports on their PCs as well.
I ran from lab to lab in the University campus and they ALL don't
have it either. In the end I had no choice but to try it on a Mac.
I finally found a freaking Mac which I can peacefully use to burn
my DVD (cos the other machines just WON'T read my blank DVD!) in
the freaking SCIENCE library, and when I went home and tested, TADAAAHH~~~
It didn't work. Great going. I had
no choice. I waited. Next day at my workplace after work, I tried
to burn it using a PC, TADAAHHH~~~!! STILL didn't work. =_____=
I don't trust downloading PS2 games from the net anymore, EVER.
At least not when I'm the one attempting.
Next, I received a CD with pictures
from my graduation day/ceremony from my dad just today, so I might
as well post some up =)

In left most pic, there's
my grandma, me and my mom in respective order. In the right most
pic, there's Mindy, Masa and me. Unfortunately we didn't take that
many pictures that day and these are the only few I actually like.
So, that's it for pics. =P Oh yeah, now that I lost my digital camera,
I won't be able to take any more pics of myself or anything for
that matter, anymore. =_= Yeah, I freaking LOST my digicam!! It
was that day I went canoeing. I forgot to mention it the last time
I updated this site, but yeah. F*CK that. =_= I'm pissed, but oh
well. Ain't gonna get another one so soon. It's not like I use it
often anyway and I can live without one, for now. I was doing some
research on newer digicams, though, and it's such a great thing
to know that the prices have dropped by like hundreds since the
digicam boom a few years back. =D So I may get it next time... when
I really want/need it. I'm thinking of getting a Canon Powershot
A520. =)
Now, for something random,
I decided to mention my BESTEST BEST TOP ONE FAVORITE SEIYUU OF
ALL TIMES!!! KYAAAAA~~~~!!!! And just in case any of you start thinking
"What the hell is a seiyuu again?", it means voice actor,
Japanese ones for which I'm referring to. I was randomly opening
mp3 files to listen to when I decided to listen to an old song by
Seki Toshihiko, and it reminded me why I LOVE his voice THE MOST.
O_o He's an older man, about 46~48 or so by now, but heck, I love
him just as much.

So here's the guy, but
er.. don't be deceived. These are actually his younger pics, prolly
by decades XD. For some reason the pics of him I could find online
are those from his younger times, so yeah, sorry bout that. I've
arranged them in the order of what I think to be the youngest to
the oldest. And seriously speaking, I think the right most pic (where
he looks oldest) is the best picture. O_o KYAAAA~~~~!!!!! Am I the
only one who finds Seki Toshihiko AWESOME?!?!?! (And Jesus,
his voice is fucking HOT!!!!) For those who dunno, he voices Sanzo
from Saiyuki, Duo from Gundam Wing (classic! LOL),
Iruka from Naruto, Benitora from Samurai Deeper Kyo,
Riki from Ai No Kusabi...etc
One last random thing.

ROAST DUCK RUULLEEEZZZZZZZZ!!!!!! |
