| All
right, today's blog entry will be ENTIRELY on the review of Final
Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. I've been playing it the past
few days and I totally have a lot to say about it, both good and
bad. Got no where to spill all this crap, so here I am in my blog
where I can spill anything and everything I want =P I have yet finished
the game, but here are my thoughts for now anyway =)
PROS:
- Voice acting:
I have the Japanese version and I bought it mainly for that reason
as well. The voice acting is awesome and I can't love it no more.
All voice actors are the same as from FF7AC and they did a wonderful
job.
- Graphics:
As expected from Square Enix, the CGI cutscenes are awesome. They're
pretty much like an extension of the FF7AC movie. Vincent's design
looks a little different but it's actually better the way I see
it. In-game cutscenes also look great, although some still lack
bits of real facial expression.
- Gameplay:
I know many reviews say that the gameplay sucks, but personally,
I think it's unique as compared to Square Enix's all other games.
Basically they were going for something new and different - a
Final Fantasy game that is not the typical turn based RPG. I think
they did a good job in this attempt. Basically FF7DC is a mix
of an action + 3rd person shooter game, although everyone must
know it's more towards the shooters. Vincent can attack with his
claw or guns. There is no variety in the type of claw attack he
can do so doing that alone is really quite useless and non strategic.
However, the fact that they actually had a way to mix action and
shooting together is neat. Even though it may not be the best
of its type, it is still a good first try for a Final Fantasy
game. Customization of the guns are easy to understand, follow
and adapt to. The results /scoring system and the side missions
that determine how much you level up is also pretty interesting,
and may keep gamers retrying for a better score.
CONS:
- In-game graphics:
Although the cutscene graphics are good, the environments and
textures used throughout the game are in fact very dull. Colors
are mostly dull brown and grey and the textures are pretty bland
and flat. Seeing such environments mission after mission can be
pretty boring and unexciting. There is not enough feel of 'involvement'
between the characters and the in-game environments, resulting
in quite the 'fake setup' impression.
- Gameplay:
While the style of gameplay is unique, there are a few things
to the gameplay itself that are annoying/frustrating. First, there
is the dodge. In this game, right after dodging Vincent will recover
in a squatting position. In this position he cannot run and will
only slowly crawl, unless you remember to press square for him
to stand up. This often results in unsucessful dodges and can
be very annoying. Second, Vincent needs to go into shooting mode
everytime you want to shoot by pressing R2. If you decide to stop
shooting and run, you will need to switch to running mode by pressing
X before Vincent can run. Sounds fair enough, but problem comes
when you decide that it's too late to switch from shooting to
running mode in a battle and want to, for example, jump instead.
The game is set up in a way that you can only switch modes when
on the ground. And when in shooting mode, the camera angle changes
to a nearly first person perspective (RE4 style) and it makes
it incredible hard to tell where the enemy is, especially when
you're doing this in a boss battle. Another thing disappointing
is that, Vincent has a total of 3 types of guns - handgun, rifle
and machine gun. The machine gun does not even feel anything like
one, since it shoots so much slower, and there is not even the
choice for a shotgun? From time to time, a group of enemies will
be let loose on you and in such cases it is really annoying and
tough to deal with them without a weapon that can blast a larger
range. I have even hoped he'll have a hand grenade!
- Music:
To be honest, the music is quite a disappointment. I first heard
its music from the trailer a while back in the official website.
It sounded awesome in there, but after playing the game I found
out that many of the game music (BGM) really aren't that nice.
They actually don't even leave an impression in me so now that
I think of it I actually can't remember any of them.
- Side character design:
Other than the main characters, all other side characters
like the WRO members and enemies show very little effort put into
them for design and variation. There are only 3 different models
for the entire WRO cast for god's sake! (One wears a military
style red hat and is a black dude, another is a blonde dude who
may or not wear a red polo cap, the last is a brown haired lady)
You see these 3 faces again and again for the entire game. They
sppear, die, appear, die and appear over and over! And better
yet, you'll see them assembled in one place at the same time,
all looking like one another! What is this? A human clone army?
You may argue RE4 was the same but no it's not. RE4 may have the
same enemies reappearing but there is a large variety, at least
a number that you'll lose count of. FF7DC's ally and enemy designs
are so dull, they really turn the entire game itself dull. Why?
It feels just so unnatural! I can't help but feel Square Enix's
blatant sense of deemphasis and neglect towards these minor but
common, everywhere characters. Seeing this outrageous repetition
of 3 ally designs every second of the game is enough to drive
me crazy and annoyed. It makes me think of why a multi-billionaire
game company can't even sit down and spend a little more time
to design a few more models. In the game, sometimes, you'll hear
some of these WRO people tell you about their past experiences,
for example, their family got killed in the meteor incident 3
years ago etc. I'm sorry, dude, but I can't feel sorry for you,
cos' you look just like the other guy down the street who told
me practically the same story. Enemies have a couple more designs,
but all of them look much uninteresting. Many are robots and the
human enemies have barely 3 design variations, again. Some actually
even look dumb, like this giant ladybug-look-alike insect. Seriously,
they need to work on better design ideas.

| Well
uh.. Wow... yet AGAIN, it's been a long time. O_o So much for updating
this site... I've been WAAAAY too busy updating the other one that's
most important. Anyway, so I'm back just to say hi... I guess ^^"
I've not been doing anything much lately, really, just updating
Devil's Lair real often, while totally neglecting my own blog. Oops
^^" Nothing much's been happening anyway, so there's nothing
much to tell except for er....
All right, bout a week ago I bought
me-self Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus.... the one
I mentioned a LONG time ago around the time this blog was built.
O_o It's the Japanese version, since the NA version isn't out till
June, and of course I had to buy the Japanese version original...
and spent $70 at once. Went broke right after, but I suppose it's
worth it... I suppose =P I can already imagine all the extra difficulties
I'll have to face when playing that game. Plus, it'll be the first
time I play a Japanese game in which I want to follow the story.
It'll be tough...but it'll be good practice I suppose? =)
I'm also thinking of getting myself
an external harddrive, altho' at the moment it seems impossible.
I'm seriously broke. I've never had less money than this in more
than half a year. Crap. I've been eating out almost all the time
cos' I don't cook, then there're bills, and I don't know what else.
I swear I didn't spend much on entertainment at all besides the
monthly Gamefly fees, but even that is only $20+. GGRR... I'm cancelling
my subscription soon, real soon. I've got all the games
I want, I don't need it anymore =P
Well, it's like 1.32am now, Sunday
morning... and I'm feeling really doomed. Projects, homeworks..
yeah... I've been totally putting that aside. *Sigh* This should
explain why I'm in big deep shit. BAHH!!

| Okay...
uh... WOW. How long has it been since I last updated? 17 days or
so I think? Hahaha. Oh well, last night I did finally add the Photo
Album section tho' =P That was hours of work, dude! OMG, so
tiring! I was so sleepy at the end of it! So today I'm finally here
to add a new entry, altho' there's nothing much I have to say.
The past week I've been busy updating
Devil's Lair.
It took me VERY VERY LONG to make those updates even tho' they seem
pretty 'short'. You see, to grab all those screenshots and stuff,
I have to practically replay the entire game on a brand new file,
AGAIN! I spent 10 hours playing that game for my 10th time, just
to take all those screenshots. All that work! OMG!!! I don't wanna
go thru that again man, no more. And I definitely hope it was worth
all that. O_o
So uh... what else is there to say.
Oh uh, I'm taking a music class this term, and it's actually pretty
interesting =D It made me like classical music again, and I'm actually
trying to download some to listen now. Hahaha! The teacher's funny
too so it's enjoyable, altho' I hate to think the a draft of the
term paper is due tomorrow morning... Crap... I so DON'T wish to
do it... Dammit. I'll procrasinate. Yes I will =) And I am! Yes!!
Mufufufu~!
Next, uh... I really don't know what
to say actually so I'll just go ahead and jump back to the regular
- games. =D Once again, I asked a friend to get me some games from
Indonesia, and this time my main focus is on getting Kingdom Hearts
2 (Japanese version)!! WOOOT!!! Not that I can't wait for the NA
version but I thought it'll just be way cool to have both versions
ya know =D Besides, then I can get to compare voices =D And who
knows even practice my Japanese! WOOT!! It'll take a while before
he can get the games for me, then send, then arrive at my place.
Oh well... patience patience.... |

Jan 2006, Tuesday |
| It's
3am Tuesday morning and I've class at 8.30am but as usual I haven't
slept. Not that I don't want to, and not that I'm still online chatting.
I was actually doing homework! OMG rite? =P So I think I've finished
it but then my stomach went growling so here I am eating and updating
this blog just cos' I feel like it. =3
There's really nothing much to say
this time tho' since I haven't been doing... no wait... Oooh...
that's right. I remember now. It was only yesterday when I went
to Florence with my sister to meet with someone who was interested
in giving me an internship opportunity. =D My sister was kind enough
to drive me up there cos' she was worried about me carpooling with
some guy stranger. To make things short, woot! I got the internship!!
Mwahahaha!! OMG!! Hahaha!! It'll be new experience for me, and a
new challenge too. Just hope it'll all turn out well somehow, altho'
before that there're other issues I have to deal with.. ggrrr..
Then after that, my sister took me
to a casino. Woot. =P I don't gamble and I don't like that idea
but well, we were using her money so I thought why not. Altho' I
still don't like the risk of losing that money... Anyway, luckily
enough, we managed to win $16~! Woot! Actually we won $20 or so
but the last few slot games we were unlucky so there went our money.
Ggrr... But at least we didn't lose money =) So we used that $16
to spend on dinner. Man, we got so much clam chowder! MWHAHAHAHA!!
It was awesome!! I've missed clam chowder =D Altho' it's got way
too much potatoes in it it was still good enough to satisfy my craving.
Hehehe. Oh yeah, one comment about those slot machine games in a
casino - dumb. It's really just pressing one or two buttons and
then pray to lady luck you win. If only there's some genius out
there who knows how to tamper with the random wins/chances programmed
into those games... =P And ooh.. someone in there won $1000 too.
Dammit. If i can win $1000 I'd have immediatley used that money
to buy a laptop, even tho' I don't really really really need it.
It's just so cool and handy to have one =D
And now we're going back in time
a little again. Haha. And as you can already guess, back to games,
yes =D Two nights ago Chaos Legion finally arrived, FINALLY.
I played it for like 10 hours straight, it was a pretty crazy marathon.
I got quite a lot to say about it but I don't think I'm gonna start
writing about it just yet since it's like 3.21am and I gotta go
sleep, plus I haven't completed it yet. 13 stages total and I've
just finished stage 10, and I'm playing Easy mode. OMG... it's either
I'm bad at it for some reason, or it's a really hard game even after
my 130 hours of experience with Devil May Cry 3. GGRRR!!
Anyway, I'll write this game's 'review' soon enough... when I get
to finish it, which... may not be anytime too soon, cos...
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition
(DMC3SE) is coming out today!!! O_O OMFG!!! I can't believe it!!
Well actually, I called both Gamestop and Game Crazy already and
they both said they're not sure if it'll arrive today due to shipping
time but it should arrive at latest next day. O_O OMG!! I've already
planned... yes. I'm gonna call them after work today, and if they
have it I'm zooming to the mall right away, otherwise I'll wait
till tomorrow and in that meantime do school stuff that's due on
Wednesday. Once I get my hands on that game, the next 50 hours of
games that I will be playing will mostly likely be just it. So Chaos
Legion will be ignored and neglected for the most part, unless
I decide to complete it first before starting on DMC3SE, which is
quite possible =P So we shall see! OMG! I can't wait for DMC3SE!!

Jan 2006, Monday |
| Oh
my god...!! It's been sooo long!!! Man, I totally neglect this site,
I must admit. I didn't even update during my birthday and that day
my sister took me to the gay bar!! Man... the laziness syndrome
must be spreading wildly in me. O_o Anyway... uh... Hi people. I'm
back? =P So what to say this time? Uh... Altho' I'm more than a
week late in writing about this in the blog, and I've told this
same story to different people for like 5 times, but I suppose it's
better than nothing.
So okay, on my birthday itself, it
was a Monday, so that was a full week ago from now. School just
started, and my biological clock was still way twisted. I woke up
on Sunday night 11pm or so, so I couldn't sleep and had sorta no
choice but to stay awake the entire day until school ended on Monday
evening. Then I remembered that my sister was gonna take me out
to dinner, so I couldn't sleep immediately right after school ended,
but I was still able to hang on a little more, plus I was hungry.
So my sister called and said she'll be here to pick me up in 15
minutes. Now you see, she told me to ask my friends if they wanna
join. I asked a few cos' I remembered to right then, but they couldn't
make it. I know I have a few more close friends I haven't asked,
but I was somehow too lazy and tired to call and ask, so I decided
to just totally forget about it. I was feeling guilty I didn't ask
them, but I really was too lazy to call, plus it'd have been too
late to call like 30 minutes before my sister comes pick me up for
dinner right?
So I was waiting at home in my room
for my sister to come pick me up. Then soon enough I heard the house
door open. It didn't sound like my roommate cos' it was way too
quiet and sneaky. So I went out to check if it was my sister cos'
she has the key to the house, and there she stood with 3 of my friends,
one of them holding a birthday cake. O_o Well... I couldn't be more
surprised, and guilty at the same time. Hahahahaha!! My sister doesn't
even know 1 of them! It was a good surprise, I was happy, altho'
so guilty cos' those 3 friends are the ones I didn't call! Man...
ok I'm really guilty =.= But it was all good, went to eat real good
dinner, filled my starving empty stomach and slept pretty early
that night cos' I had been awake for 24 hours straight and I'm not
the kind who's used to be awake for so long.

Then my sister planned to bring me
to a bar on Friday since it was my 21st birthday. And knowing what
I like she said she'll bring me to a gay bar, the only one in this
little town. Woot! I don't fancy bars, I don't like clubs and I
definitely DO NOT drink (cos it's bitter and shitty), but a GAY
BAR!! NOW that sounds more like it!! =D This time I asked asked
some few friends and only one could make it, and it was her first
time in a bar too, and a gay bar at that! Mwahahaha! So we went
there with my sister, and 2 of my sister's friends that I also know
of came to join too.
It was my first time in a bar, tho'
a small one. I didn't really know what's there to besides drinking,
and I don't drink, even tho' my sister and one of her friends tried
so hard to make me drink. As usual I gave it a try and one of them
was nasty, urgh. What my sister ordered was way better cos' it was
sweet and I could hardly taste the alcohol, so I exchanged mine
with hers. Hehehe.
Anyway, so the show started, that's
what we came for. The show at 10pm only on Fridays. There are 4
people (drag queens) who work there, but one of them was away that
day so it was only 3 of them. Woot, they're awesome!! =D It started
out fine and I was just enjoying the show cos this was all new to
me ya know? The drag queens were humorous too so it was all good
and normal, until one of them asked "Are there any birthday
people tonight?" Oh my god... I knew my sister was not gonna
spare me. She pointed at me, then my friend pointed at me, then
EVERYONE I don't know in the bar pointed at me. I was in shock,
dude, shock O_o Then the drag queen saw me (her name's Karess),
and she grinned at me saying "There you are...! Come on, it's
no use hiding." Then she walked over, grabbed my hand and pulled
me to stage. OMG!!! *dies* Everyone knows I can't deal with an audience!!
I have stage fright!! OMG!!!
Well, luckily, I wasn't the only
birthday girl that day. There was another girl, so I wasn't alone.
The birthday event started out with a birthday spank. =_= Karess
said one of my friends can come up to the stage to give me a spank,
more like multiple spanks. My sister's friend, Justin, happily came
on stage grinning at me. Karess told me and the other bithday girl
to bend over and grab our ankles, then the spanking began. OMG.
Not that I care if it hurts, but it was TOUGH balancing myself with
my high heeled boots you know!? And I'm not used to wearing high
heels cos' I just don't! That was my second time wearing that boots!
OMG... I was so afraid I'll lose my balance and topple over forwards.

I ended up getting spanked 5 times,
and at the end Karess told me to hold the mike as she prepared to
spank th eother girl herself. Mwahahaha! OMG! I'm glad I didn't
have to go through that cos her spank was HARD!! Ouch... O_o The
spanking part wasn't as embarrassing tho', it was more like "Uh..
yeah.. spank me if you want, since I'll be bending over and they
won't be able to see my face." but the next birthday event
was what scared me to death. It was the birthday dance O_O!!! OMG!!
And Karess wanted me to go first too! She said it'll be 30 seconds
of dancing, then the music just played! O_O! I was like "FUCK
NOOOO!!!" in my head but what can I do?? O_O I had no choice!
I can't even dance! I've never danced my entire life! And I certainly
don't wanna dance in front of an audience! But I can't do nothing!
Everyone had their eyes on me! OMG!!! So I was forced to dance,
so I did >_<!! It was the most pathetic dance ever!! OMG!!!
Now this is embarrassing but here are the videos of the spanking
and the dancing, for those who enjoy seeing my pathetic self. I
nearly died watching the dance one.
Birthday
spank [8.67 MB]
Birthday
dance [8.54 MB]
So yes that's me, the one who gets
spanked and can't dance. Laugh all you want, but uh.. just don't
tell me what you think. >_<!! So that's it for my birthday
I suppose. Turned 21... it's a nightmare. I can no more excuse myself
from everything by saying I'm still a kid, and there'll be a whole
load of responsibilities and expectations. OMG, I want to live as
a kid forever. I'd have wanted to say 18 forever, dammit >_<!
GGRR!!!
So okay... done with the birthday
story. Phewz! That's the 7th repetition! I need a break. So what
now? Mwahahaha!! Don't tell me you don't know. =P It's back to games
again! Yes!! How original!! WOOOT!! So what have I been playing?
Uh.. nothing much that's new actually, besides Parappa the Rapper
2 and a mere hour of Tekken 5. And I prolly only played
Parappa the Rapper 2 for like 2 hours, but it's a cute
little short game. It's a music game and it's only got like 8 songs.
It's different from Dance Dance Revolution you see. This
game requires a lot more work and talent, really, the way I see
it. Every song has alot of animation in the background that's connected
to the story of the game. Yeah, this game has a short story, just
like the previous Parappa game in Playstation 1. It's a
really short game, but it's really cute =) Some songs are
really nice too, and funny.
My favorites are 'Big' and 'Come A
Long Way', by the way. Hehehe. Now as for Tekken 5... Man...
not that I really play Tekken or any other 3D fighting game, but
this one's really TOUGH!! I'm playing on Easy just cos' I want to
finish people's story modes for their full CGI endings but it'll
take like 10 tries against the bosses to defeat!! Well, I seriously
don't know how to play so I'm sort of randomly pressing buttons
but uh... that won't work. I'm bad at 3D fighting games... except
for Rival Schools 3. Mufufufu~ Tekken has really good graphics
tho' and I love their CGI endings since Tekken 3 on Playstation
1. If I get to beat the game enough some day and unlock all the
CGI endings, I'll record them =D
Then yesterday I actually started
and finished the 2nd disc of Devil May Cry 2. Not a great
game or anything of the sort, but uh... it's Dante's game =P I'll
do anything for Dante, even getting the Shin Megami Tensei:
Nocturne and Viewtiful Joe games =D I don't think
I'll ever want to play the game's harder modes tho'. Even tho' it's
easy compared to DMC and DMC3 it can still be annoying sometimes,
and I don't really care for a game I'm not that obsessed about.
Plus, DMC3 Special Edition is coming out in like 2 weeks
O_o I'm SOOOO gonna get that the day it's released!! Then it'll
be that game all the way till I get sick of it in like... I can't
tell =P Then I'll be busy updating the Devil's
Lair website with new info, cutscenes and stuff too.. OMG...
What a life. |

| Woot!
I was totally rushing through the game and yes I finally finished
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence! Oh well... it's not something
to be proud of at all though, since I used an item duplication cheat
^^" Yeah... this is actually the first time I play a game using
a cheat and not caring about my gamers' pride. Hahaha! With the
item duplication cheat I pretty much have A LOT of healing items,
yeah, A LOT. So long I can get one of each kind of healing item,
I can duplicate to its max number of nine whenever I'm in this special
corridor in the game, so I won't ever have to worry about not having
enough healing items to use for aid in battle. Mwahahahaha! I know...
cheap, right? But well... I didn't wanna stress myself out too much
with the game so yeah... "What the hell?" I thought and
decided to just use the cheat =P
And wow, guess what? Lament of
Innocence did well with a much much much better storyline in
comparison to Curse of Darkness. It's also way harder too
(that's why the cheat helps so much). If you've read one of the
previous blog entries, you'd have heard me say the storyline starts
off dumb and typical, but later it proves that it's not that dumb
and typical afterall. Well, okay, to put it accurately, it may still
be a little typical but it's still way way way WAY better than Curse
of Darkness. It actually has meaning, and some surprises in
between, and the best thing is that it actually EXPLAINS Dracula
and the vampire hunter Belmont clan's origin!! The very last part
of the ending was a little abrupt, it felt like it could have continued,
but nevertheless it was a good story =) Although... it is too obvious
who the true final bad guy is to begin with, but well, I'm pleased
with how it manages to prove me wrong regarding my first impression
of the game/story.
Anyway, last night.. or morning..
haha, I don't remember which, I was downloading some of my favorite
BGM from both Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness,
and now the music's so stuck in my head. I really like it, although
there really are only so few that I like so much =)

| Haha.
Just yesterday I just talked about The Two Thrones and
today I've beat it =D Well... mainly cos' it's a short game (prolly
10-13 hrs?), like half shorter than Warrior Within. Well,
Warrior Within is a long game though, considering how much
shorter Sands of Time and The Two Thrones are.
Not to mention it's the only one with 2 endings, and where the alternate
ending is required for you to understand the story in The Two
Thrones. Anyway, yay!! I'm done with the Prince of Persia trilogy!!
Phew...! That was a long ride! =P
[Sands of Time, Warrior Within, The
Two Thrones]
Obviously, or not
(for those who don't know games), this trilogy games is played
in order from the Sands of Time to Warrior Within
to The Two Thrones. Not starting from the first or in
order will result in confusion and non-understanding of its great
storyline that's unrivaled by many. The Prince, whose name is
never known, changes his look from game to game, since the entire
story spans 7 years. Well, actually, he looks much the same in
Warrior Within and The Two Thrones during in-game
and a little different in the full CGI cutscenes. However, my
personal favorite remains the Prince from the very first game
Sands of Time. I can't find a good screenshot of one
of the full CGI cutscenes from it where he looks the best but
well.. here are examples of how he looks in each game, in-game
and full CGI.

Oh yeah... there's
something I've forgotten to show in this blog for the longest
time! I don't even remember if I've ever shown it before at all!
It is this 4 page comic... originally only 2 paged (made for a
school project) but I drew 2 more pages cos' I felt like it. It's
an original story with original characters... inspired by me myself.
Mwahahahaha! Personally I like it lots, so here it is! (I know
many of you prolly already saw it...)

| Oh
my... I didn't realize it's been SO long since I last updated my
blog! O_o! Well anyway, first things first, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
OF YOU!!! Did anything fun? Went for any countdown? Saw any fireworks?
Hung out with friends and had a party? How bout me? You're ASKING
me? Mwahahahaha! Come on, everyone knows me better than that =)
All right, so I did nothing. In fact,
I woke up only at 10.30pm in the night cos' I slept only late in
the afternoon at 2.30pm. How do I do that? I don't know. Ask my
body and it won't answer, so let's just ignore that. So what was
I doing till then? Well... I planned to sleep earlier,
but my usual inability to give up in a game where I'm stuck made
me stay up cos' I couldn't rest thinking that I'm stuck.
It's the latest game I'm playing
while holding off every other game I played and never finished.
It's the last game of the Prince of Persia trilogy - The
Two Thrones. A really good game to start with. Graphics, style and
all are just like the previous two games, making it look consistent
and easy to follow. It's got new obstacles this time, more moves,
a newly introduced speed kill system and a dark side to
the prince. It's really a high grade game... only if not for the
MANY GLITCHES this game has to offer.
Great game, it really
is. but I've seen that it's got many glitches, some minor, some
major. I had a glitch that was so major, it practically nearly stopped
me from being able to proceed into the game. It's actually that
boss battle in the right most picture I include above, and it pissed
me off SO BAD! This is actually the reason why I stayed up till
2.30 in the afternoon before I sleep, cos that's when I managed
to finally beat him despite the glitch!! O_o! I spent hours looking
for confirmation and perhaps a solution for the glitch. I even joined
the official Ubisoft (the game creators) forum just to post a complaint
about this. That goes to show how really pissed I was, altho' later
after I finally beat the boss I started wondering if it was all
my own mistake in the game that led me thinking it was a glitch.
Ah well, I've cleared that part. I don't wanna think no more...
I'm now just 20% away from finishing the game... I hope the coming
bosses aren't gonna be as annoying and pissing me off as the last
twin bosses I had to fight. Man.. that was the most painful boss
experience in the game so far!! 2 against 1!! My goodness... cheeeeap!!!
Now, the game I started
just one night before this one was Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.
Yet another Castlevania game, the previous one before Castlevania:
Curse of Darkness, in fact. A LOT of things look SO similar!
Environments, enemies...etc Well, I guess that's just cos' it's
made by the same creators...? But anyway, in my opinion, though
an older game, Lament of Innocence is in some aspects better
than Curse of Darkness. Music's better; it's actually less
annoying. Gameplay's decently easy/medium in difficulty and actually
requires some strategy to beat bosses, unlike Curse of Darkness
where you can blindly attack and still win anyway. However,
the environments remain as enormous, and going back, to and from
different places is a very big hassle in this game. There're no
teleporter rooms like in Curse of Darkness so if you miss
something you'll have to go all the way back by foot, spending perhaps
half an hour to do so. The storyline.. well... I've not actually
gone to far so I know not much at the moment but the beginning plot
sounds as plain and dumb as ever. Basically, the antagonist, Leon
Belmont, is on his journay to save his betrothed, whose name is
not even mentioned and is currently kidnapped by Dracula or somebody
of that sort. Besides, I can already sort of predict the ending,
or whatever twist the story is planning to make near the end. *sigh*
Below are some screenshots of the game. The guy on the right most
picture is Leon (why this name again?). Some fancy hairstyle for
a guy in the gothic era ya? Hahahaha!
Okay, enough of games.
Let's backtrack abit, cos' now I feel like talking a little about
Christmas gifts =P I bought a Calvin Klein winter coat for my
sister the other day and woot, she loves it!! YAYY~!! Was worried
for a bit back there, just in case she doesn't like it. So Ci
Wei Wei ah, if you're reading this right now.. Mwahahahhaa! Ah
well, glad you like it! ^__^! And she got me an opal necklace~
It's nice, but it always gets tangled up with the other necklace
that I always wear =.=" Then there's Damla, a precious online
girl friend from Netherlands who I'll definitely marry if ever
possible (mwahahaha!). I got her a hat and a scarf, and she just
received it! PHEWZ!! I really thought they lost the post... I
was really really really worried. But now that she's received
it I'm SO relieved.. and she likes it! So I'm even happier than
ever! WOOT!! Then there're 2 more girl friends in Eugene whom
I both got a pair of earrings and a Christmas lolipop for. Hahaha!
Okay I know the lolipop was random but I just thought I had to
throw in something else in for fun =P And they both shared and
got me a pair of furry shoes that I was looking at at ROSS but
never got O_o. Man.. I really gotta thank them so much!!! I dunno
when I'm actually gonna wear them but I guess I will, sometime
=P Problem is, I found out that the shoes are of different sizes.
Hahahaha! One's prolly a size 7 and the other an 8 ^^" Oh
well.. They still fit me though so it's still good =D
Ah.. now I remember.
I recorded my own gameplay of a side mission in Resident Evil
4 the other day. It was actually recorded for Damla but well..
for those who're curious to see how the game is like (although
this isn't the main game but a side game that's unlockable after
you completed the main game once), here it is:
Resident
Evil 4 - Assignment Ada - Part 1 (7+ min) [35.9 MB]
Resident
Evil 4 - Assignment Ada - Part 2 (24+ min) [107 MB]
