Description:
The main character, the captain of the crew, and the biggest
idiot in the WWW (whole wide world). No one else gets
as happy-go-lucky and ultra easy going by nature as Luffy does. He is also naive and has no sense of nervousness regardless if it's because he's too dumb or confident to feel it. Inspired
by a pirate he met when he was young, Luffy decided that
he wants to be one as well when he grows up. The story
starts with him at the very beginning of his journey when
he was still looking for companions to join him in his
adventure. He has the biggest sense of curiosity, adventure
and confidence, and is so carefree you hardly see him
get mad, except for when anything happens to his friends as he's very protective of them.
Naturally, he is also the strongest of the group. His hat is his most important possession. |

Description:
Zoro is the first companion Luffy got. An ex-pirate hunter,
he now travels with Luffy in his journey to be the world's
best swordsman. Like Luffy, Zoro is pretty easy-going
and loves to sleep. He also has absolutely no sense of
direction and gets lost very easily. For some reason
he also tends to be in conflict with Sanji, often calling him a 'love cook' each time he behaves like an idiot over women. Zoro uses 3 swords and is
very confident in his fighting abilities and is definitely
one of the strongest in the crew. |

Description:
Nami is basically the brain of the crew. An ex-thief and
ex-anti-pirate, she now travels with Luffy and gang to
live an adventure and find tons of treasure. She is very
treasure-minded and acts as the crew's money manager,
but for the crew to use their money wisely, someone like
Nami will have to manage it anyway. When it comes to decicion
making, Nami can also be pretty calculative since the
captain is too dumb to do it. She usually does not fight
and will only resort to it when there is absolutely no
choice left. She may be weak, but she can still defend
for herself up to a certain point. The one other thing
she loves is oranges. |

Description:
Usopp's biggest characteristic and weakness is his cowardly
nature, hence the reason why he dreams to be a brave pirate
just like his father. His name is derived from the word
"uso" in Japanese which means 'lie", due
to his habit of lying mostly to cover up his tidimidity.
Usopp is very inconfident in his combat skills, but he
is confident when it comes to other useful skills like
mechanics and ship repairing, which is the reason why
he's considered as the ship's 'carpenter'. He makes his
own 'bombs' which he uses to shoot/snipe at enemies with
his catapult and is highly accurate. In times when they
need a strategy to do something, Usopp also tends to be
the one to do it, if not Nami. |

Description:
Sanji is the cook on board, but he's not just any cook.
He's the world's #1 chef. Sanji has cooked since he was
little, alongside with someone very important to him whom
he learned his cooking AND kicking skills from. They both
share the same dream, which is to find All-Blue, a legendary
ocean that connects with all the 4 other oceans in their
world, and where all the best seafood ingredients for cooking
in the world can be found. For that, he joined Luffy on
his adventure. Sanji is a womanizer and that really is
his biggest weakness. The last combination you'd want
to see is Sanji with a female enemy, although it seems that's what he usually gets in every arc. He has experienced
a long period of near-death starvation so it became his
principle to be unable to ignore hungry people, even if it's the enemy.
While that sounds very nice of him, one must admit it
can also be a weakness. He always smokes and it's said
that he does it to look more adult. For some reason, he also often finds conflict with
Zoro. (Although their fights are more childish than anything) |

Description:
Obviously, Chopper is not human. He is in fact a raindeer
with a blue nose who ate the 'Human Devil Fruit' and obtained
the ability to speak like a human, and even transform
into 7 different raindeer forms for different abilities.
Chopper is the crew's doctor. He studied medicine under
2 excellent doctors in a snowy country, one of which had
died. That doctor once told Chopper that if possible,
he wanted Chopper to be a pirate and experience for himself
the world outside. That became the reason Chopper decided
to join Luffy and gang. Chopper started out being very
shy and afraid of humans but after being with Luffy and
gang for a while he slowly changed. He loves to be praised
but gets embarrassed about it very easily. Sanji used
to call him 'emergency food' which scared the hell out
of him. |

Description:
The eldest, wisest, calm and cool headed of the crew. Having
studied archaelogy since she was young, Robin is capable of
reading ancient text. She joins Luffy and gang in search
of some ancient inscription that supposedly tells the
true history of the universe. She had a pitiable past which involves losing all her loved ones and her homeland itself, which was destroyed by the Marines during a 'Buster Call' as it is so called 'illegal' to be researching ancient texts. Robin lost everything since then and figured that the only way to survive is to join the right 'forces' while manipulating people to her benefit, which was why she was a villain until she joined Luffy's crew. She also calls everyone by their title
(e.g. Captain, Miss Navigator) and not their names. |

Description:
Franky first appeared in a town known as Water7 as the leader of a group of rowdy delinquents who stole Luffy and gang's gold which they had planned to use to buy a new ship. Because of that, Luffy and gang didn't have the best relationship with him, until both Robin and Franky got kidnapped by the villains for reasons involving the blueprints of the world's most destructive weapons. As Luffy and gang chased on to rescue Robin, they learned of Franky's real motivation and past, which made Luffy promise Franky's followers that he'd rescue him as well. After the end of the very long ordeal, Franky wanted to thank Luffy for everything by building him the best ship ever, which was also his very own dream as a shipwright. After that, Luffy and gang invited him to join their crew as they originally came to Water7 for a new ship and to recruit a shipwright. After a lot of persuasion and convincing, Franky finally agreed to join.
On a side note, Franky's body is made of machines as he lost his real body when he was young and got ran over by a train. He installed a lot of gadgets and weapons in himself to keep himself battle-capable, but his energy will only last as his fuel which is really three bottles of coke. (LOL) He will be refreshed instantly once his fuel is filled again. |

Description:
Luffy and gang first met Brook on a 'haunted ship' and were shocked to see a talking skeleton. However, it didn't take long for Luffy to find an interest in him and invited him to join their crew without hesitation the moment he found out he's a musician. (Luffy has wanted a musician since the beginning LOL) However, due to a series of events Brook was able to join the crew only after a whole series of events (Thriller Bark Arc), and then he became the crew's musician and second swordsman. Though a swordsman, unfortunately his level of swordfighting is far from Zoro. Also, Brook's current dream is to be able to reunite with Laboon the giant whale again (which Luffy and gang met right after entering the grand line) to fulfill his 50-year promise. |
