26th Aug 2008, Tuesday

I was gonna write this entry on Sunday night but cos' I didn't have all the photos I wanted to post yet, I had to wait till today to do so. So, Sunday. It was another small event for lolita/goth/punk dressers. Well to put it accurately it wasn't really a lolita event. It was the (grand?) opening of this goth/lolita store called “Atsuki” which recently moved from Suntec to Liang Court. I've bought from them before, twice in fact. The first being the black waloli that I wore to EOY 2007 and the other being my best dress, aka pride and joy, of all time.

However from what I heard the owner has changed. It used to be this one man but it seems like he sold the business over to a couple. The new store is about the same size as in Suntec, but it sure looks a hell lot prettier/gothic this time. Except... I really don't like the location. Suntec would have been so much more convenient...

So anyway, it's the opening of Atsuki and I heard that there was gonna be a lucky draw and a 'Best Dressed Competition'. I perked when I heard that, cos obviously I'm after the prizes. LOL. I mean come on... Being greedy (or kiasu for those who know what it means) is only human nature. =P There's gonna be another lolita event this coming weekend and I was originally lazy to go for this one, but hell... I knew I wanted to give the lucky draw and the competition a go, just for the hell of it. I don't believe in luck, yes, but I do believe in the awesomeness of my favorite dress. >_>;

Mind you, I'm not being arrogant. But I can't say I'm not a show off, cos' obviously that'd be a lie.  Everyone knows it's a fact that lolita/punk/goth dressers love to show off the stuff they wear. The only reason why I bought that second dress from Atsuki before (my best dress) was simply because it was in-your-face WOW at first sight (even tho' all I saw was an online pic of it). I've written an entry about that dress before back in December and I'm sure I said/implied the same thing.

And since I have this wonder dress that I'm/was so confident that I could win with, I decided to, what the hell, join the competition. It was a small event, luckily, and there weren't very many people who even dressed up for it. There was also no clear way to join the competition, cos' what the event/staff people did was to just look around and scout for people with 'costumes' that looked competition-worthy. It's not like I had to do/perform anything fancy to win; it was effortless and simple so why not?? =P The scouts spotted me, luckily, so that's how I got my name on the list. And when the time came for us to go on the tiny little stage, I found out that there were only a total of 7 contestants.

On the stage, I stood on the right end of the line (from my perspective). When the other 6 lined beside me to my left, I glanced over to check out their dresses/outfit and..... sigh... Please let me declare again that I'm not being arrogant or stuck up but seriously... it's really, really obvious even to people who dunno a shit about lolita that my dress outshines theirs by several notches. It's just too blatant that there's no denying it. I felt confident cos' of that of course, cos' dude, I bought this dress only becos' it is that awesome and it's so worth the money (even if it's made in China and they ripped me off LOL).

While on the stage, I also noticed how many friends the other six people had downstage. They were chattering with one another, teasing or laughing at them on stage and stuff. I felt rather awkward, cos' it was obvious a lot of them knew one another (including the event people/staff) and I was the only unknown whothefuckisshe girl. But whatever, I simply stood on stage and waited until voting commenced.

From the number of votes, it was a tie between me and this other girl whom I could tell she got practically all/most her votes from her good bunch of friends. I had only three friends with me that day (and even that's already considered lucky of me). So like already I was quite WTF'ed... but luckily for me there were still a number of strangers who kindly voted for me, and I really appreciated that... cos' it means they weren't being biased or playing favorites. But still, a tie's a tie, and they've got to find a way to decide who the 1st prize winner is.

So guess what the hosts decided to do? First off, they came up with one of the most nonsensical ideas ever – cheer for the one you want the 1st runner-up to be. I was like “The hell?” Why would anyone want to cheer for second place? So I told the host that if she must do it that way she should at least change it to “cheer for the winner”. And so she did, even though I was actually really hoping she'd have come up with a bloody fair method cos' as far as I'm concerned this is no longer a Best Dressed competition but rather a Who-has-more-bloody-friends competition. Urgh! That other girl had a horde of friends down stage! And I'm just a nobody as far as the audience is concerned. By the time they decided that's how they'd decide the winner I knew that that was bullshit and I was not gonna be able to win, despite the obvious-in-your-face fact that my dress not only kicked her dress's ass, it probably ripped it to shreds. I practically beat her in every single item/accessory we got/wore, from the hat, choker, arm warmers, socks to shoes. Yeah, I know. I sound like a bitchin' bitch now. But think. If you were in my shoes we know you'd think the same. >=/

And so the cheering began and yeah. It was lame. But hey, man I can't express how much I really really appreciated my three friends for actually screaming at the top of their lungs for me. If it weren't for them (and a few other strangers), it would not only have been a shitty competition but also an embarrassing one. =/ And surprisingly, despite the other girl having more friends, the host thought that both sides were equally loud. Then here's the lamest part.

Since they still couldn't decide who the winner should be, the host asked the male boss of Atsuki to pick one. I had a little bit of hope actually, cos' I thought maybe the boss would play fair... but alas... he was like *shrugs* and murmured a little something to himself before he pointed at the other girl.

Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening

Well. No comments. All you guys reading this blog entry can see for yourself the difference in eye candy and quality between that girl's dress and mine from the pics above. So yeah, in short, I was majorly pissed. Of cos', unfortunately for me I still had to put on a smile on stage for the photographers and such. =_=;; Well yeah, I know I know. You're thinking “Hey, at least you still got 2nd prize!” But dude, I was aiming for first prize since the very beginning and I HAD what it took to win that competition (not to mention how blatantly obvious it was to everyone including the girl and her friends I bet). All I couldn't defeat was their bias and unfair play. Well, f*** that.

Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening

Sooooo that's the end of the competition. I got a $200 voucher for anything from Atsuki for 2nd prize and indeed it's better than nothing, but how should I put this... Would you bloody be satisfied with 2nd prize if you knew you had the winning lottery ticket for grand prize!!?!?!?! @#$%^&*!! >_<!!!! *rips hair out*

Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening Atsuki GL Opening

So, after that there was the lucky draw and stuff, which of course I didn't win. Like I said, I don't believe in luck. It's never worked for me and it prolly never ever will, even if it snows in Hawaii and I *gasp* start believing in god. After the whole event, me and my friends loitered around camwhoring until one of my friends had to go back to work at the store (Atsuki). Then I just hung around Liang Court until she got off work before we go over to Bugis. I even looked around Kinokuniya hoping to find anything Slam Dunk, but I couldn't find a thing. Lame. I must... own... something, anything, one thing Slam Dunk related!!! >_<!!! This renewed obsession is so not dying/fading anytime soon!! (And I hope it never dies...) XD!!!

And oh, before I forget, I must mention that the photos of me on stage were taken and kindly sent to me by a kind photographer, for which I'm very grateful for. *Bows* I was actually stupid enough to forget to ask my friends to take some photos of me using my own camera. =_=;

23rd Aug 2008, Saturday

I was really really angry early this afternoon and the only way to get me to cool down is to think/talk about Slam Dunk. While it’s better for anyone interested to refer to Wikipedia for more details (along with spoilers), I’m still gonna write a general description of the five main characters just for fun. =)

Sakuragi Hanamichi   桜木花道
188 cm / 83 kg   (6'2" / 183 lbs), 1st year

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

The main character of Slam Dunk. Initially a mere delinquent who joined the basketball club just to impress the girl of his dreams, Sakuragi progresses to become a real basketball player in a short matter of time, along with developing true love for the sport. His style of play is often random and prone to fouls (especially due to his instinct/habit with violence), Sakuragi’s true talent lies within his speed and jumping ability (as well as his unpredictability which can be both a good and bad thing LOL), making him what he claims to be – “king of rebounds”.

Sakuragi also claims to be a genius. In fact, he spews that word once practically every time he does something remotely well. (LOL) Yes, he is shameless and is a total show off (LOL) but that’s what makes him such a hilarious character. =P He is closest with Miyagi (whom he calls “Ryou-chin”) and dislikes Rukawa for being both his love and basketball rival. Just for that, he is stubborn enough to risk losing in a match than to pass the ball to Rukawa.

Akagi Takenori    赤木剛憲
197 cm / 90 kg   (6'6" / 198 lbs), 3rd year

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

The captain of Shohoku basketball club. For a long time, he was the only recognized and feared player of Shohoku. He holds the position of a center and is both good at offense and defense thanks to his height and aggressivity. As captain he is strict, disciplined and motivated, but to no surprise he is still often troubled by Sakuragi’s impatience and misbehavior. Even then, he holds a lot of hope for Sakuragi and the team, and believes that they are the ones who can fulfill his life-long dream – conquer the nationals. His younger sister, Haruko, is the girl of Sakuragi’s dreams.

Rukawa Kaede    流川楓
187 cm / 75 kg   (6'2" / 165 lbs), 1st year

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

The new ace star of Shohoku; also known as Super Rookie. Rukawa has always been famous since his middle school days when he was the captain of his school team. Shohoku was thrilled when they heard he was joining them, and he didn’t disappoint indeed. A man of many talents, he is able to play as any position and is also good at both offense and defense (tho’ he leans towards offense considering the number of points he scores per match). However, he does end up taking the position of small forward in Shohoku.

Rukawa is mostly quiet, cold and expressionless (typical of the ‘cool guy’ role in any series), and it shows even in his style of play. Though a skilled player, he has the tendency to play a ‘one-man game’ which omits teamwork and trust with his teammates, causing conflict and sometimes risking the match. Regardless, he is very much an excellent player who is also highly competitive. Although there are many strong players, the one he regards as his rival and whom he’s most competitive against is Sendou of Ryounan High. His dream is to one day join the NBA and his hobby is to sleep; he’s so good at it he can fall asleep while riding his bike to school, crashing into things along the way.

Miyagi Ryouta    宮城リョータ
168 cm / 59 kg   (5'6" / 130 lbs), 2nd year

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

Being the only one under 180 cm in the team, Miyagi suffers some height disadvantage, but despite that he’s still Shohoku’s ace point guard. His forte includes speed, agility and court awareness, and he’s highly skilled in dribbling, passing and stealing, which majorly contribute to the their victory.

Due to their close relationship, Miyagi is the only other person besides Haruko who can easily persuade/teach stubborn Sakuragi the ways of basketball. And the reason why they are close is because they both have been through and understand the pain and sorrow of unrequited love (he likes their basketball club girl manager who’s also his classmate and best friend) and having been rejected by girls for many many times in a row (LOL). Miyagi appears to be very friendly and sweet, but he does/did have a reputation for being quite the bad boy outside of basketball, especially when Mitsui was one as well.

Mitsui Hisashi    三井寿
184 cm / 70 kg   (6'0" / 154 lbs), 3rd year

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

Mitsui is famous for having been selected as MVP (most valuable player?) during his middle school days. He earned that title by successfully turning the tide and winning a match in the last 12 seconds with a beautiful shot. Due to certain reasons he quit basketball for two years, but now that he’s back he strives to continue his legacy as a renowned three-point shooter (he’s also good in other areas too though!); he takes the position of shooting guard.

Mitsui started out having a bad relationship with Sakuragi and Miyagi before he rejoined the basketball club.  However, right after he joined the three surprisingly got pretty close together; he’s the only other person other than Miyagi whom Sakuragi gives a kind/cute nickname to – Mit-chi (Micchi). (Unlike Akagi whom Sakuragi calls “Gori” and Rukawa simply as “Rukawaaaaa!!11!11” or as curse words. LOL) Mitsui also highly respects Anzai-sensei, their coach, who is the reason he joined Shohoku instead of many other wellknown schools.

17th Aug 2008, Sunday (2nd post)

Time for food talk again!! =P Why? Cause today… is the day I finally get to eat my #1 favorite food – grandma’s shark’s fin soup, since my graduation back in June 2006!! *Cries tears of joy*

Food Food Food Food

To add on, this past Friday she also made my favorite sweet ketchup crab!! T__T!!! I’m so in bliss!!! <333 Since my bro and family weren’t home for dinner that day, I practically ate most of the crab, which includes four full crab claws. Mwahahahaa!!! My grandma said that she only likes to eat the legs, which I don’t like as much. So yeah, fair is fair. Wahahaha!!!

So for dinner tonight, I had about 3 otak-otak, 3 sticks of satay, a mouthful of veggie, and 3 bowls of shark’s fin soup. MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Three is a good number, ain’t it? XDXD!! The leftover soup will be MINE for dinner tomorrow, and my family knows it. *_* I just hope that I won’t gain anything from all that starch… >_>;

17th Aug 2008, Sunday

Thanks to a friend’s recent obsession with a manga series known as Vagabond, I was reminded of Slam Dunk (same writer/artist as Vagabond), which ended up relighting my flame of love for it.

Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk Slam Dunk

Slam Dunk is an old manga and anime series. The manga was created and finished from 1990 -1996, while the anime first aired in the year 1993. So yes, it’s old school and it’s bloody brilliant classic, especially for people born between 1980-1988. In a word, Slam Dunk is about basketball. However, it is highly entertaining and likable even for people who aren’t fans of basketball, like me, cos’ the story has a lot of comedy and focuses on character development (namely the main character Sakuragi) as well. Anyone who’s not seen/read it before must give it a try, or I’ll seriously rip your ****s off. >=(

In a few lines, here’s the introduction to Slam Dunk:
Sakuragi Hanamichi is a silly High School freshman who’s been rejected fifty times by the girls he likes. When he discovers his 51st love, who is impressed by his height and build, he finds out that she is highly enthusiastic about basketball. In his attempt to impress her, he lies that he is indeed a sportsman who loves basketball. Although he later fails to perform a slam dunk as requested by the girl, she is convinced that he has a lot of potential to play basketball and persuades him to enter the basketball club. That… is the beginning of Sakuragi’s destiny with basketball…

Now, I don’t care if you have time whatsoever but I demand that you watch the below vid for at least 5 minutes. If you don’t, I’ll eat your first born and set your grass on fire. >=/ Enjoy.

If you're interested to watch all the episodes, here is where you can.

16th Aug 2008, Saturday

I readied these pics more than a week ago but I was too lazy to write about it so I pushed it until today. As you can already tell, the topic today is "My Favorite Japanese Cuisine". ^__^!! I love Japanese food, but to be honest I don't eat it that often, nor do I know all the different kinds of Japanese food. For example, I still don't quite know what/how teppanyaki is like ^^; But as far as those I know and have eaten, here are my all time top favorites:

Food

Okonomiyaki   お好み焼き

Okonomiyaki is undoubtedly my top 3 favorite Japanese food of all time. I first knew/heard of it when an American friend made it during a potluck back in the US. He did very roughly, but damn I loved it! The other times I’ve eaten it were the times a friend/coworker from the US made it. So in truth, I’ve never eaten the real thing from a Japanese restaurant. The one I ate at Sakae Sushi doesn’t quite count, cos’ it looks different and doesn’t taste quite perfect. But yes, I absolutely love this dish. If I ever travel to Japan again, this will be the first thing on my list to eat.

Food

Omelette Yakisoba    おむ焼きそば

Another top favorite. Usually I order this from the food court at Takashimaya, but even though it’s tasty and I love it, I know it’s not half as authentic as the real deal. The best omelette yakisoba I’ve ever had was the one from the store beside Kinokuniya in Japan Town, San Francisco. Now I bloody regret I never took a picture of it.

Food

Unagi Rice    うなぎ

Now this is the most consistent Japanese dish ever. I’ve had unagi at many different places/restaurants but as far as I can tell, they always taste the same. What that means is, I don’t ever have to worry if it doesn’t taste good. =P Unagi has a distinct smell and taste, and though some people say it’s a tad too ‘strong, I just love it.

Food

Katsudon   カツどん

I first had katsudon at Sakura back in Eugene Oregon. I love eggs and pork, so it isn't hard for me to like this. However, how good it really tastes depends on the restaurant/chef. The one in Sakura is good but it wasn't outstanding; the best katsudon I've had was at Ramen-Tei at Far East Plaza (Orchard), Singapore. In fact, I think it was becos' of that katsudon that I decided to write an entry on Japanese cuisine.

Food

Miso Soup    ミソ汁

Miso soup is everywhere. And wherever and however it’s served, I like it just the same. I’ve liked those others said was bland. I’ve also liked those other said was alright. Maybe they have very high standards or something but as far as I’m concerned I love it all, all the way from restaurant-served to instant packeted ones. =P

Food

Gyoza   餃子

Hmm… gyoza… Now this is one dish I can’t define for sure is Japanese, cos’ the first time I ate it in my life, I swear it was Chinese. It’s like ramen, you know. Japanese people say they took it from the Chinese but as far I know there’s no Chinese ramen like Japanese ramen. >_>; In any case, I love gyoza. If a whole table’s full of all kinds of food (excluding my grandma’s shark’s fin soup) and I see gyoza, it’ll definitely be the first thing I grab. Ironically, the best gyoza I’ve ever had was the frozen packeted Ling Ling Potstickers from Costco back in the US. LOL I loved it so much I’d buy 2 bags at once and eat 15 of them a time for dinner.

Food

Takoyaki   たこ焼き

The first time I had takoyaki was when the take-out store Takopachi opened in Singapore at Orchard and Bugis around the year 2001. I love sotong (squid/octopus/cuttlefish) so I fell in love with takoyaki instantly. Right now, all I’m sad about is that I have yet the chance to eat the real thing from Osaka Japan.

Food

Tempura   てんぷら

Tempura is another dish which tastes the same (to me) no matter who cooks it/where you get it. I know it’s not all that special when compared to other unique Japanese dishes but the texture and taste of the fried batter is worth looking forward to. However, I only truly like shrimp tempura cos’ vegetables/sweet potato tempura aren’t as awesome.

Food

Oden   おでん

I think I’ve only had oden about twice or so. Once prolly at a friend’s place (I don’t remember who tho’ LOL) and another in Japan cooked by a friend’s mother. It actually tastes quite similar to Yong Tau Foo, which is a very common dish here in Singapore, but I still love it. If only I know where I can order it in Singapore. (Okonomiyaki is still top priority tho’!)

Food

Furikake   ふりかけ

This isn’t a dish; this’s a seasoning. The colored grains you see on top of the rice in the pic on the left is furikake. How it tastes depends on what flavored furikake you get, and man it’s yummy!! There was a period of time back in the US when I had just rice with furikake for dinner! It’s that bloody awesome! If I desperately need to save up on money, this would definitely be my meal plan. XD

Food

Mochi Ice Cream    アイスもち

I’m not a fan of ice cream, but mochi ice cream makes me a fan, temporarily. =P Let’s just say this: Ice cream – not too awesome. Mochi – awesome. Ice cream in mochi – bloody awesome. Combinations make such a big difference sometimes, aye? =P Unfortunately, mochi ice cream is hella expensive here in Singapore. Guess how much it is? I used to complain that 6 for $3 was expensive back in the US. Here in Singapore? It’s $2 for 1.

Food

Banana Crepe    バナナクレープ

To me, banana crepe rivals with mochi ice cream equally. Banana + ice cream is just awesome (hence the reason I love banana split and banana flavored ice cream). But with the addition of a crepe and chocolate syrup/fudge, it becomes holy. So far I’ve eaten banana crepes once in Japan, and a few times at the basement of Cineleisure (Orchard), Plaza Singapura and Bugis Junction. *Droolsss*

10th Aug 2008, Sunday

I finally got around to playing Zone of the Enders today (after having played and finished Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando three times XD) and well… let’s say I’m pretty glad it’s a very short game (< 6 hrs). ^^; You see, I made myself buy and play ZOE cos’ of two reasons. 1) Kojima Hideo is involved 2) A couple of friends said it’s a must-try, although they’re really referring to ZOE2 but since I should play them in order… you get the point.

So yes I knew from the very beginning that I can’t expect much from ZOE1, and I didn’t. Regardless, there were still a few things that I couldn’t help but laugh and/or be annoyed at. So as usual, here’s my short general review:

Story – C-
The story in ZOE1 is well… pretty messed up. Not messed up like Xenosaga where you need to learn and memorize its own encyclopedia to remotely understand, but rather random and without explanation. The story of ZOE is set in outer space where people live in colonies, much like any Gundam story. We find out that the colonies are under attack by enemy forces but the reason was never explained. The main character, a boy named Leo, was captured along with a few of his friends in the beginning but it was also never mentioned why and how.

Apparently, Leo is also the only other person who can pilot this particular Orbital Frame (ZOE’s own term for Gundam) called Jehuty, but why that is we never find out. Later, Leo picks up his girl, Celvice, who does nothing but preaches for Leo to save people and eventually gets injured herself. Like, what’s her point for even being in the game at all? O_o; Well, I got a feeling the story is never meant to be taken seriously so I’m gonna stop the whining for now. I’ll just hope ZOE2 is epic enough to cover for all this.

Graphics – B-

ZOE1 ZOE1 ZOE1

ZOE1 was released around the birth of PS2, which puts it on the same comparison line as Devil May Cry 1 and Onimusha Warlords. However, when I compare these three games, it becomes pretty apparent that ZOE1’s graphics aren’t quite up to par. The in-game graphics are considerably good (though level designs are questionable) for a 2001 game, but the CGI cutscenes are pretty low-standard (not to mention there were very few cutscenes in the game). If you ask me, even Resident Evil 2 for the PS1 had better CGI.

Gameplay – B+

ZOE1 ZOE1 ZOE1

Overall, the gameplay is pretty unique, considering the battlefield is not limited to the ground/plane on which you stand but also the air/sky in which you fly. It’s like the Peter Pan world in Kingdom Hearts, except the entire game is like that for ZOE. The guns and dodging techniques are fun, but sadly it will still eventually start to feel repetitive. There are also two gameplay factors that annoy me – camera controls and lock-on.

The camera controls using the right analog stick is next to useless. Not only is the panning speed slow, there is also no option for you to change/select ‘normal’ or ‘inverted’ for its control. When moving Jehuty (the Gundam in which you operate), the right analog stick becomes virtually useless as the camera follows the left analog stick instead, making movement controls really awkward. The lock-on is quite screwed up as it doesn’t always follow the principle of ‘lock-on to the nearest lockable object’. That alone has led to my character’s death several times. =/

Sound – B-
Other than the first ending theme, there is no other BGM or theme that actually stood out to me. (Even then, I know of the first ending theme only becos’ I’ve listened to it even before I played the game.) The English voice acting is also pretty bad, especially with Leo and Celvice. Period.

Replay Value – C-
Personally, I’m sure I won’t replay this game a second time. I don’t know if it offers any unlockables for beating the harder modes but even if there is I doubt that I’d do it. The game is quite fun while it lasted but all in all, there’s nothing too special about it to keep most players interested for a second round.

Overall – 4.2/10
Tilt –

And oh, on a very random note, I also dreamt of Raiden and Ichimaru Gin a few days ago. XD!! I could only remember a few random fragments of it so I can't write a full dream log, but I figured I should still note it down for myself to remember in the future =P Raiden for some reason had chocolate brown hair (also a tad longer), and Gin was in his white Hueco Mundo robe leading me over to the dinning table... LOL.

Dream log – The Joker
Holy shit, dude. I had one of the weirdest dreams this morning, and it involves OMFG, the Joker (by Heath Ledger) from The Dark Knight. It was really him with that purple suit, messy green hair and weirdo make up.

Joker

In the dream, it seemed like I was quite his fan. ‘His’ as in JOKER, NOT Heath Ledger. I think there was a front part to the dream which I forgot about (except for some bloody random Ratchet & Clank-like grind boots sliding ‘ride’ O_o;) but I know that I was Joker’s fan and we’ve met and talked in person before. What about? I have no idea. O_O;; Point is, he knows/recognizes me.

So one day me and my friend Irene (OMG why’s she in it?! LOL) were just hanging out, I guess. I don’t remember what we did or where we went but we were together, and for some bloody odd and unexplained reason, I was wearing a jacket that’s zipped up all the way, and nothing for pants but just my panties (WTF?) that had hello kitty printing on them. O_o;;; The even weirder fact is, the people around me didn’t think it was strange, like it was normal/common, and didn’t even turn to stare at me. Maybe in that dream world wearing just your panties in public is the norm. o_o;;

And so me and Irene were walking past some I dunno… car park-like area or something when I saw Joker in his car (he had a chauffer). As a fan, I smiled and waved to him from outside but I continued to walk away after that, not wanting to bother him. After walking past his car, I glanced back once to see if he’s doing anything in his car through the back window. That was when I noticed that he was trying to mouth out a few words to me through the reflection in his rear mirror.

I couldn’t get the words though so I gave him a “huh?”. And that’s when he stopped his car and stepped out O_o… He slowly walked towards me in his usual twitchy Joker manner and when he got to me, he bent over to speak close to my face (he totally ignored my friend). I can’t remember exactly what he said to me but I remember that it was something like “Are you wearing Hello Kitty because you’re a Cat?”

I was his fan, but regardless he was still bloody creepy whenever he talked like that, so I started to get a little intimidated. ^^; So I told him while trying to keep a fair distance between our faces, “Not really, it’s just a coincidence.” And then, he took out a few bank notes out of his jacket and tugged at my panties (OMFG!!!!), trying to slip the money inside. =_=;;;;; (Joker!!! THAT’S SEXUAL HARRASSMENT!!!!)

I think he added another comment then, which I can’t remember yet again but I’m thinking it’s something along the lines of “You look sexy like this”, hence the reason he’s trying to ‘tip’ me =_=;;;; I was pretty scared by then, cos’ I didn’t want him touching me (even tho’ I’m his fan! LOL) but I was too afraid to tell him no cos’ he’s the bloody Joker for Wayne’s sake and I didn’t want to risk my life telling him no. So I resisted a bit, just to show that I didn’t like it, but not enough to piss him off. In any case, he did end up slipping the money in my undies and I just stood there looking at him uncomfortably.

I don’t think he said anything more but prolly smiled at me once before he returned back to his car. My friend who watched us all the way gave me the “OMFG!?” look and I simply sighed. However, there was also another group of girls (strangers) who were standing right beside us (cos’ they were trying to walk past us through a small gate but the Joker was blocking them). They witnessed everything that happened too and I was quite embarrassed, but after the Joker left, I told/warned all of them that if the same thing ever happened to them, try not to retaliate too much cos’ you can never tell what he’d do to you if he gets unhappy. The girls nodded lightly, still weird’ed out by the Joker, and then left. And since Irene and I were alone again, we went back to our ‘hostel’ like place (where we apparently lived with many other secondary school mates) together.

And… that’s all I remember. O_o Weird dream, but I like it actually XD!!! Wahahahahaa!! It was interesting, and one worth telling. XD And oh, in case you didn't know, I am in fact a Heath Ledger Joker fan. XDXDXD!

2nd Aug 2008, Saturday

Today, me and my coworkers (I see them as my friends, really) went for a karaoke night. =D It’s the first time we hung out outside just the four of us, and it was fun. We went to a karaoke place in Chinatown and sang all the way from 6-9pm. =P The place had a wide selection of Chinese, English and Malay songs, but man, the Japanese selection was pathetic and the English songs aren’t even of the original. Gaah! =( I still sung them though, cos’ there’re just too few Chinese songs that I know. >_>;

On a random note, the four of us girls decided to give ourselves a ‘group name’ – Tanoshimi. It means “delight” or “joy” in Japanese, and it’s derived from a syllable from our each of other names. XD “Ta” is from CaTHArina (me), “no” is from NataNO (Natalie’s nickname), “shi” is from Yu XI and “mi” is from MIchelle. Wahahahaha! I know, we’re proud to be nerds =P

Anyway, after karaoke we hopped over to the other side of Chinatown (where there’re lots of street food) to have ‘supper’ (it’s actually dinner). We ordered 20 sticks of satay (half pork and mutton), two plates of spicy lala clams, a plate of spicy squid and four coconuts. YumMmMm!! Love it! ^_^ We’re definitely gonna hang out like this again sometime. =)
