Gunslinger
To finish the Hell Wraths quicker, you may
want to use the power of the Gunslinger, which
at this moment would be Rapid Shot. If your
emphasis is on the other enemies, Swordmaster
may also be a good choice.

You start out with only Rebellion
and Ebony & Ivory. For enemies that gather
in groups, make use of Rebellion's combos to
take them all out. For single enemies, it'll
be good to start a combo with moves like Hightime.

Make use of
Hell Wrath's explosion!
Hell Wrath's explosion damages not only
Dante but all other enemies as well. If
made use of it's possible to take out
many enemies at once. They first appear
together with some Hell Prides and Lusts,
so earn some stylish points first before
blowing the Wraths up to finish them all
at once. |

Grab the Vital
Star S!
To the immediate right of Dante's office
is a Vital Star S on the ground. Take
it for it'll help heal some health just
in case you need it. However, please be
aware that using an item will lower your
Devil Hunter rank at the end of the mission.

Hell
Vanguard |
| |
|
HP: 2700 Attribute: --- Boss
bonus: 1000
- Do not attempt aerial attacks at him.
If parried in mid-air, chances of getting
hit after landing is higher. Attacking on
ground is safest, especially since you can
repel his attack.
- You will not get hit if you get behind
Vanguard during his attacks. Lure him into
attacking you, then jump towards his back
and take your chance.
- If you hit him with your guns he will
use his warp attacks (Hell Gate) so avoid
shooting him.

Repel Vanguard's
attack, then counter!
Firstly, get close to him using your
melee attacks. As long as you continue
hitting at one point you will parry
each other. Then jump over his head
to land behind him and attack. |
|
 |
|
Hard
& Dante Must Die mode
This time, even without shooting him
Vanguard will use Hell Gate against
you. Not only will he do it 3 times
in a row, his warping speed also increases.
Don't just jump since you may get hit
by his aerial warp attack. Take your
chance at him when he's done. |

Hard mode
The type and abilities of enemies that
appear here do not differ from Normal.
Since there are many enemies, using Devil
Arms such as Nevan or Agni & Rudra
will help greatly against those numbers. |
|
|
|
 |
Dante Must Die mode
The Hell Prides are now capable of guarding
your attacks, and the Hell Lusts will
not hesitate continuously attacking you.
Even with just this much difference the
difficulty is way above Normal. You may
want to start by clearing out the Lusts
first before the Prides. |
|
|
|
 |
Heaven or Hell mode
All you need to be careful of is Hell
Wrath. Keep shooting all the rest down
and watch out for when the Wraths appear.
Hell Vanguard who appears at the end can
and will, of course, be taken down in
one shot. |
