Swordmaster

Since there are many required battles to go through in this mission, it is better to use Swordmaster. Rebellion's Dance Macabre and Cerberus' Crystal work especially well against the Hell Greeds, and are useful against the enemies the Hell Greeds summon as well.

Devil Arms #1: Rebellion Devil Arms #2: Cerberus
Guns #1: Ebony & Ivory Guns #2: Shotgun

Many different enemies appear in one same area, so it is better to use Rebellion that has a wider range of attack. Plus, there is a Rebellion style master statue so it will save you the trouble and time to switch weapons using the Divinity statue. At this moment, it is possible for you to use Artemis for one of the guns, but it's better used when your Gunslinger style has been leveled up.

Get S rank point #1

Your dealing with Hell Greed affects your stylish points!

Even if you go straight according to the route, you will encounter a total of 9~10 Hell Greeds, and dealing with them effeciently is the key to obtain a rank S for the mission. Hell Greeds do not get knocked back when you attack, so the moment you see the attack motion, use Hightime to attack and dodge at the same time. When they call for others, they stick their coffin into the ground and stay stationary, so be sure to take that chance and attack.

 Get S rank point #2

Increase orbs and stylish points!

To get an S rank for orbs, you will need at least 7000 orbs. Earn your stylish points effeciently during all required battles and perhaps the Damned Pawns in Skull Spire as well. The fight against Hell Vanguard will be your best chance to do so. Repeling enemies' attack increases your stylish points, so try make use of this.

Do not forget #1

Secret mission #3

To the right from where you start the mission is a wall. Jump kick it and you will land on a ledge where you will find a Vital Star S and notice a shining red light right in front. Pressing O near the red light will trigger secret mission #3.

Do not forget #2

Grab the blue orb fragment!

There're ledges on the top of the corridor in the Dark Corridor and the Pitch-black Void. They all have red orbs to grab but one of the ledges in the Pitch-black Void has a blue orb fragment as well so be sure not to forget!

Do not forget #3

Destroy the combat adjudicator!

As you enter the Lift room, there is a Rebellion style master statue near the wall to Dante's right. This statue will require an SSS rank to break. If you have trouble with it, you might want to come back again later when you obtain more moves as you level up Swordmaster.

Vergil

"You got that right."

Trickster

HP: 8000   Attribute: ---   Boss bonus: 4500

  1. Vergil's Yamato (katana) relies on force, and after he does a move he will always put his katana back. At this moment he will be fully vulnerable so close the distance with Dash or attack with Stinger.

  2. There are times your attacks will be repeled, and he will counter attack right after, so Dash or side roll away. Then again, after he's done with his attack, get back close to attack. Stick with pattern and you're set.

Get S rank point

See through Vergil's attack pattern!

The thing in this battle is to be careful not to lower your damage rank. For that, it is necessary for you to evade all his attacks. Focus on Vergi's movements and when you see his motion to attack, quickly evade by side rolling or jumping. Hint: Never attack him head on. Wait or lure him into attacking you, then evade before you attack him back.

Hard & Dante Must Die mode

Vergil is now able to summon Phantom Swords and shoot them. Also, his speed increases in counter attacking when your move is repeled/parried, thus a good strategy will be Hit & Away (attack then run).

Hard mode

In the Cursed Skull Chamber, 2 of the Hell Lusts that appear are now Hell Sloths, so try not to concentrate on the Hell Greeds too much and watch out for the Sloths when they teleport as well

Dante Must Die mode

The Hell Greeds in the Tranquil Souls room now also summons Hell Lusts. They perform dash attacks very often and are troublesome, so finishing them quickly using Devil Trigger will help tons. Some of the Pawns that appear in this mission will also be replaced by Knights.

Heaven or Hell mode

Just be careful not to allow the Hell Greeds to summon others while hiding in a blind spot. The Damn Pawns and Knights with high-vality can now be defeated in 1 hit as well so it will be easy. A good way to earn stylish points will be to gather them then finishing them altogether.
