Vergil - Geryon (M12)

  1. On the bridge:
    • If you prefer playing safe, just keep shooting Summoned Swords and avoid being run over by doing a jump + Trick Up over it. After running past you for about 4 times, Geryon will stop in the middle of the bridge doing nothing. Since we're playing safe, just keep shooting from where you are.

Repeat this a few times and the bridge will collapse after Geryon loses 10-20% of his life, or when the bridge is destroyed by Geryon's arrows.

    • If you prefer playing aggressively, like me, do a Helm Breaker right at the horse as he charges towards you. Timing has to be very accurate, but if you succeed, Geryon will fall over immediately and you can attack freely. When Geryon gets up, you'll see a huge red bubble appear. Jump + Trick Up over it and let the horse run past below.

What happens if you touch the bubble is that time will slow down and you'll have a higher probability of getting run over. Do this 2 times and the bridge battle will end.

  2. So here's the 2nd stage of the battle. Geryon will charge at you before he starts circling the arena and shoot arrows at you. You have 2 choices:

    • 1st choice - As he charges as you, try getting ON Geyron's carriage, not the horse, by doing jump + Trick Up. This's not the easiest thing to do but timing and luck will help. If you manage to get on it, good. Lock on to the carriage and attack as much as you can without falling off.

However, Geryon doesn't run in circles forever. The moment he runs back to the center of the arena, jump off the carriage as you watch blue flames engulf it. Amost immediately after, Geryon will proceed to shoot arrows so run away from them.

    • 2nd choice - If you can't jump onto the carriage or missed it, run and follow Geryon from the back. In other words, try running after the back of its carriage. When doing so, the arrows he shoot at you will not hit you (very low chances), and when Geryon stops to swing his carriage arround, you will be guarunteed safety. After that, run away from the arrows he'll shoot at you again.

  3. After the arrows are over, he'll stomp the ground and flames will rise. To avoid them, jump + Trick Up when he stomps the ground. He'll do that twice, then stand there doing nothing. Now that's your chance. Get close to it quick and attack until it falls. (If it doesn't fall, that means you didn't damage it enough. And as a reminder, Helm Breaker/Starfall works best) Also, use Devil Trigger if you have it.

  4. After it falls, continue attacking until he disappears and time slows down. Geryon will reappear charging at you from a distance. Jump + Trick Up to avoid it.

  5. When Geryon's life goes down to about 30~40%, red bubbles will start appearing in the arena. Get away from those as they'll cause the slow motion effect and arrows may also appear out of nowhere to hit you. They can be dodged by performing Air Trick.

  6. Geryon's last form of attack is this:
When the horse collapses for you to attack, sometimes, right after giving him a few hits, he'll get up quickly and a HUGE red bubble will surround him and his carriage. Get away from him ASAP and jump + Trick Up towards the screen. You will then watch him swing his carriage 360 degrees around the arena. After that , he will stand there doing nothing for a brief moment so attack.
