Vergil - Leviathan's Core (M8)

  1. First, run to the right lung, LOCK onto it, and perform this with Yamato: Aerial Rave + Trick Up + Aerial Rave + Trick Up + repeat. If you perform it right, Vergil should slash in mid-air, then teleport up, then slash in mid-air again, then teleport up, then slash...etc

Performing Trick Up correctly in here can be tricky since if you press forward in the wrong direction Vergil will teleport to the nearest enemy and you may get hit by the Hell Envies. However, if you can do this right, taking out the lung will be quick and you won't even touch the ground. Keep doing this until the lung dies and the core opens.

  2. Once the core is open, run to it and attack. Don't forget to use DT or DTE if you can. With DTE, the Hell Envies will die instantly and you'll have all the time to attack the core undisturbed. If you don't know what DTE is, look under the DTE tutorial on this page.

  3. After the core closes, repeat steps 1 and 2. However, note that the core may open up to shoot lasers you, especially after you've taken quite some life from it. It does this either before the core opens or after the core closes. To avoid the lasers, stand in the middle of the battlefield and far away from the core, then jump when the lasers intersect. Keep shooting Summoned Swords at the core as you do this to inflict damage. When the lasers stop, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 to victory.

  4. In the harder modes, the core occassionally releases blue orbs at you. Run away from those.
